Fertlizer Choosing

Hey yall, im in the growing stage. I got them growing strong, they are about 2-3 inches tall out of some Scotts moisture guard potting mix and just water. I know soon im going to have to look into some fertlizers, what do you guys recommend in growing stage? Veg stage? Flower stage?

also, my plants are about 12 inchs away from my 250Watt HPS light, is that too far or too close?

For ferts you can really choose just about any that are out there. They all work, your first decision would be to decide organic or chemical. I personally recommend organic but thats your decision to make. Just be sure to follow the directions and many will tell you to start one quarter or one half dosage. Though I've had no problems in the past without doing so. 12 inches is probably fine though you could likely go a little lower. You can put your hand at the canopy of your plants and if its alright for you its alright for them. Then just keep going up a little bit until it becomes too hot.

organics will stink i assume lol i got a thing of worms, i think ill go as far as using the leftover dirt from the worms. What chemical do you guys recommend? Any websites or store bought stuff? Thanks for this. I will post picture in a few hours to show how its going.
