Few Newbie Questions...

Hello,

I have starting growing my blow widow Fem seed under a 125watt cfl light (2700k red). It is on a 18/6 time atm and its been going since sunday night. So far it has start to come up and two little petels coming off it :D This is my first grow and I am very excited..

A few questions though

1) as I have limited space, I plan on changing to 12/12 within 2 or 3 weeks so it stays small, how much larger will it grow when I change to flowering? And is it possible to keep it shorter if it gets too big?

2) as I may not be able to get any bigger pots for a while, Will it just mean I have to water it more frequiently? Or will it die without a bigger pot?

3) I pushed my fingers about an inch or 2 down and It is slightly moist... where as the top is dry as dry... do i wait until the whole thing is completey dry?

4) When will it start to stink? I wot be able to get a carbon filter until the end of the month!

5) atm the lights are off and I took the plant out of it into the light of my room, Only for about 15 seconds... will that damage it at all? I wont do it again obviously! but should it be okay?

-thanks!

1) I forced mine to flower at 3 weeks because I have a smaller grow space too so yea u can do that, it will double or even triple it's size when u change the lights to 12/12. There are ways to make the plant shorter if it gets to tall but the only method I agree with is bending it and training it. 2) not having the right size pot may cause the roots to root bound and stunt ur plants growth. 3) u wantthe soil to be mostly dry before watering again, the time will depend on how big ur plant is. 4) it will start smelling Bella when he plant is actually growing the buds. 5) I've heard it could turn ur plant hermie, don't know exactly though.

i grow cfl ,and i have my best results when i let the plant veg for a few weeks (3 or so after the seedling period) then i cut the lower growth off ,and transplant into a bigger pot. if i were you ,and i wanted to keep them as short as possible ,i would get some trellis netting ,and do some bending if needed. also keep your lights as close as possible if you are using cfl, you will not regret it.
