Few Questions About Soil and Water

Hi guys, here is an update on my grow.
Today is day 3 since they are on 12/12 to get that flowering going.
Larger, dried one seems to be recovering, small one doing fine.

Heat is still unbearable, gonna look for some glass tubes to make DIY cooltube to reduce stress on my plants and so that i could remove some fans to increase stealth since i have 4 fans running and thay are quite loud. Exodus Cheese Fem.

Recieved my Fast Bud's from Attitudfe today. Two seeds are germinating at the moment, hopefylly will be planted tomorrow. Amazing delivery time, not to mention wide selection of seeds and nice prices, Nirvana lost me as a customer.
Also recieved Exodus Cheese Fem. as a freebie, not sure what to do with it yet.

My question is, should i switch back 20/4 when i see some flowers of should i go 12/12 all the way? Im not sure they are not flowering becouse of bad seeds of something, more like not yet flowering becouse of the stress i have coused. Still, i want to get them harvested as soon as possible to make room for Fast Buds - hopefully stress free from seed to harvest.

Plants are not doing so great.
Older, stunned one (on the right side of screen) seems to be doing ok, both of them are about the same size, which means other one is not doing so good, still, it seems to be recovering from drying out.
No signs of flowering yet.

Local hydro shop ran out of cooltubes and they dont know for how long so i decided to change my HPS bulb to a 125w 2700k CFL to keep my temps down. Cooltubes ordered from online hydro stores is crazy expensive so im gonna keep looking for some candle glass or whatever and put HPS back when i make a DIY cooltube.

Also, i switched back to 20/4 to let nature run its course (now when temps are down flowering might start sooner, if they are in fact autoflower)

Also did cut some dead crispy leaves off of the dried one and move screen closer to bulb.

Wow, that's a first for me! Nirvana has replaced 2 of my orders through the years, Attitude,...where I paid an extra $20 or so for "Guaranteed delivery" told me to go fuck myself. I work in the shipping industry and pointed out how the wording of their guarantee was extremely misleading and could be avoided with a simple change (long story)but they continue to stuff it to the grower. DO NOT PAY FOR GUARANTEED DELIVERY FROM ATTITUDE!!!!!!!! We are talking about a pre-figured in profit,...at your cost, but anyway....

No, stay on 12/12!!!!! You really need to address your grow environment before you plant any more seeds. The stress you are putting on these plants will have them producing minimal to no smokeable weed.

IMO,...read up a bunch more, re-do your environment, THEN start a seed

LBH - thanks for input.
After changes i made today my only problem is not having enough light and i plan on fixing that by replacing that CFL bulb with my 150w HPS in a cooltube. Probably gonna remove screen aswell.
And seeds which i started few days ago are in seperate box with no problems whatsoever.
I'v read plenty during last few months, things that keep me from growing good plants are money and very limited space to grow and stealth requirements.

About Attitude vs Nirvana - i did not pay for guaranteed delivery, arrived in 8 days after placing the order, where Nirvana took ~20 days. Also i like Attitude's payment methods better - credit card, because Nirvana doesnt have that, i had to pay via bank transfer and bank charged me 10$ for making that payment so Attitude is cheaper, at least for me, overall.

Nirvana takes CC's and its 9 days to New England. I've ordered from them over 20 times. Trust me, I used attitude for a bit till I actually spoke with Rachel on the phone to help with the issue they have. I'm not the only one who got screwed. After reading on other boards that others got the same run around, I decided to contact them directly because I found the glitch and had an answer to resolve all their problems and pissed off customers, let alone, it would eliminate any future screwings. I was informed that because of the #'s they deal with, it is cost beneficial to leave the policy as it is. And kept my $280. They KNOW their guarantee is not honorable because of the rules and regs of the shipping companies they use, therefor, they wipe their hands of you. Unbelievable,.....that extra "go fuck yourself" service cost me an extra $20 and their policy remains the same..

I'm a huge believe in integrity and karma,....They'll never see my $ again, plenty of great places to get phenomenal genetics

Upgraded my cooling system today - now i have 60 cfm bathroom fan pulling hot air out, passive intake.
HPS is back where its supposed to be, also CFL bulb is there, but i havent figured out where exactly to put it. Cooltube is made out of glass vase with bottom cut off (poorly) and it is cool enough for plants to touch it so no screen is necessary.
Temps are around 79 at the bottom of the box and around 110 in the middle (you can see sensor in last picture). So high because of radiant heat, i guess plants are fine.

Last few days with CFL alone made plants stretch quite a bit.

Dude, you're cooking those plants, 110 is way, way, way, way too high and it is showing in the foliage. See how it's all crimped up and funky looking. You need to get those temps down, start moving more air in there. Even the avg of 80 and 110 is 95 ,....too much for such a small environment

You know what i realized today? All the work i did this morning was useless. Even if i can get all of the hot air out of my box i still cant get it out of my closet without making it less stealth. So at best i will be recirculating hot air betveen closet and grow box and that is just useless.
So im back to CFL alone for now.
So my plan is to make a new box out of 2 or 3 plastic boxes (i believe rubbermaid containers is what you call them) stacked on top of each other - that way i can have nice stealth grow space and vent hot air straight into the room.
Gonna look for guides now, any links would be appreciated.

Not much to report - plants are under single 125w CFL 20/4, temps are around 80 when light is on.
Oldest plant, the one that was stuned when young is stretching a lot. It already has gotten taller than my bulb.

How much vinegar per gal or liter?
How much baking soda?

add tiny amounts (drops) of both and let sit a bit, check ph and adjust again till you dial it in to 6.5(soil) or 5.8(hydro)

Stretching continues. Notice that bulb is raised higher than it was in previous pictures.

LST that baby, tie it off to the side, and control which way you want it to grow. You could tie it in a knot, if you wanted,lol literally, slowly, over time.

Oldest girl is still stretching like crazy, notice that bulb is much higher that it was before and she still is taller than it. Im afraid that raising bulb even higher would leave lower plants of the plants with no light. Only a month ago i did think about getting rid of her and now she might end up being two weeks worth of smoke
I did think about LST'ing her, but i only have enough space to bend her away from light (in opposite direction) and i guess under current conditions that would do more harm than good.
Anyway - my question is what is going to happen when she hits the ceiling? There is about 4 inches of vertical space left.

Hi guys.
Taller girl had stretched even higher so i did LST her after all.
What i did was i pulled lower part of her by the main stem a bit to the right (away from light) and pulled her top down, closer to light. This was buds are closer to the bulb and i wont have to raise the light any further for now.
I hope i didnt pull her too hard, i guess time will tell.
