FFOF runoff is hot as hell

Just transplanted a plant from a party-cup size, square pot to a 3 gallon pot filled with FFOF. I watered it for the first time, and tested the runoff: ~1475 PPM

What the fuck!? Even if my TDS meter is way uncalibrated, this is still ridiculously hot soil. What's all that about? Any ideas?

FF used to get their soil from the local non organic flower farm.
(the Franciscan complex uplifted a bunch of ocean going creatures) x (number of thousands of years allowed to sit and "digest" to make a wonderful soil blend to make our:weed: go big) - (industrial technology + over-consumption + marketing + zealous use of resources + outsourcing because resources are running low) = one not to be used soil mixture.

really? pretty much everyone is using their soil right now (not to mention nutrients). shitty to know that they think making it stronger makes it better. any alternative suggestions (besides roots) so I don't have to switch to miracle grow?

Sorry I just have a little bias against them. This last indoor run I did a blend of Black Gold Coco Blend (2 cu. ft) and power flower (1.5 cu. ft) but the coco really holds moisture. So maybe 2 bags power flower to 1 black gold coco.
I can't really recommend anything because I haven't found a soil I am happy with.
My ideal soil? If it has to come in a 1-3 cu ft bag then it would be a reusable non-plastic bag, preferably hemp. Ideally it would come in 50-75 cubic foot bags. Have chunks of lava rock and rice hulls. Have no perlite, invasive mined guano product, or have globally sourced material.

We can all dream, right? Maybe this time next year we will see Jemstone's Enviro-soil in our local grow shop?

I really hate to get into mixing my own soil. don't have proper additives around here (good guano, worm castings etc). local shop only sells ffof and roots. sometimes happyfrog (ff product). If I have to order soil I would rather just get a bag of somethin decently premixed. oh well, i'll prob just stick w ffof til I get a bad batch, then I'll be trying to tear someones head off lol

Thanks for looking out and reporting back on the matter. I'm saying it's probably natural minerals/micro-nutrients in the soil. All of my plants I've put into it have not shown any signs of nutrient burn, so I'm not too worried about it anymore.

1475 not that high fo ra first water ppm it will go down but will always be higher than the nute solutions ppm becauses of stuff coming out of the soil.
