the implication here is that fair prices are paid for services rendered
where I come from, sales tax (VAT) has increased recently, income tax collection has become more stringent and many deductions removed or ring fenced
in return service delivery has deteriorated and many economic agents has lost confidence in the government's ability to do anything rational, so in effect they (government) are simply squandering the money for their own benefit

We now pay taxes even if you are buying online. I still find better discounts online than I would ever in a store. My delivery is quick and fast. Seemingly always receive before or on date

You talk about fiat currency as if that's the reason why governments can grow as infinitely large -- I guess your meaning is they can just print more to cover cost. If that's true then why do they need to tax at all?

money isn't the problem. the governments that issue the money are the problem.
money is just an easy way to transfer wealth.
