filter, fan, and cool tube setup ?

I've searched and cant find a definitive answer? What is the correct way to hookup my fan filter and cool tube in my 4x4 tent? I only have one fan to cool and scrub. I was thinking filter to fan then ducting to cool tube and ducting off other end of cool tube out of tent. Is this correct? I've heard fan after cool tube can reduce the life of the fan from the heat pulling through the fan. Does anyone have any pics of there tent setup using one fan to cool and scrub? Please help installing new equipment tonight.

this is how i would rig it up. seal off all air leaks except the passive intake which should only be allowing air to come in. make sure your fan is creating negative pressure in the tent. you can tell this by looking at the walls of the tent and if they are "sucking in"

hope this helps.

fan b4 lights and filter after lights..
yeah you could switch where the fan and filter are in my diagram and get the same results but i believe i read somewhere that fans ar ebetter at pulling air then forcing it through a filter. thats why i go with the way i diagramed it.

also, if your pulling air from outside the tent, through the sealed light and filter and out the other side of the tent all you are doing is filtering the outside air....you need to pull air from inside the tent to filter smelly air. thats why i recomend that. also it helps with keeping constant air exchange which is good for the plants.

No , like the 2 posterFilter ducting cooltube ducting fan out ----
And when your light comes on your fan should also , so this means your temp should be 80deg

or so . My fan runs 24/7 , if your room stays in the 70s low 80s
Then your fan should stay around that as well
Vortex fans are very good , 5 year hands down warranty .
I have a value line fan , it's cheep but it works and stays cool !

p.s.

other option is to run it as in "my" diagram and get another ventilation and dutching for your cool tube only and run it sealed with a string from outside to hood and outside agin, but I don't believe you need that unless you struggle with high temperatures and then a bigger main ventilation might just be a better idea to start with ..

Filter fan light exhaust is another good way to run it. I use to run the fan after the light but that burned up the bearings in the fan.

well as you can see there are many options as long as air from the tent is going through the filter at some point and exausting it will do what its supposed to
