FIM and TOP

so I have 30 going strong outdoors right now they are some of the healthiest biggest I've had at the 3 to 4 week mark (all orange crush) and I topped them two days ago I decided Togo with the fim technique on 25 and top the other 5....I didn't do a 45degree angle idk y just high and dumb it slipped my mind I just did a straight cut(this is my first year toping I've always done natural growing just kept them healthiest as possible) how big of a problem is this? And the ones I toped are still pretty much siting still after day two while the fimed ones kept right on growing....I hope I fimed in the right spot I did what I thought was 80 percent but do you think I'm ok on the straight cut?

I'm onboard w MzToker. Chop as much as you have to in order to get the canopy even. I've always found fimming seems to slow growth far less than topping.

Ok one more question...how long do you guys usually let the plant heal or grow before fiming again?... or is there no set time just play it by the eye

I go by no regimented time frame. When I see new healthy growth from where I cut it's ok by me to snip again if I feel a need to.

My understanding is that outdoor plants have no troubles with side branching getting adequate lighting. Therefore topping wouldn't be necessary I'd think.

I haven't seen too many large outdoor plants but the ones I have the low side branches almost make it as high as the top 80 percent of the plant and are nearly if not just as large as the primary. Just speculating. No where near an authority on outdoor growing.

Just some pictures of the outdo grow some have been moved to another area already but the first close up is a top and the last three close ups are a fim they are about 3 to 3.5 weeks old I was just wondering how you guys thought the fim and top looks did I do it right?

Thanks.... I thought the top was on the first set of pictures but it wasn't I just now today saw those two new growth spots coming out of one of the toped plants I was thinking they where f***ed
