The places menu definitely didn't reflect what they had so I couldn't get what was recommended to me. Even the current one in the place was way off. I went with these. 2 Headband, 2 Chem Dawg, 1 Lemon OG Kush and 1 G13. Some look good, some look bad but I didn't spend half as much as I planned so not much loss. Also took a pic of them by the lights. Going to keep them in this closet for a bit under 18/6 and then move them outside after some growth. I will gradually be moving them out like 1 hour the first day then back in for the night and 3 the next, etc. How much and how often should I be watering these and can they stay in these cups until I transplant them outside? Also, I think I'm definitly going to upgrade to at least 10 gallon instead of 5. Any thoughts, feedback? Need to know the watering most of all.

If anyone can help with these topics:

1. Watering schedule/amounts for the first 2-3 weeks
2. Can they stay in these cups until I transplant outside
3. Is there any benefit/downside to using an above ground garden with the area being wide open or are 10-15 gallons thick black plastic pots ok?
4. After much feedback, going to go with Fox Farms Ocean Forest cut with 30% Perlite outside. That ok for a first timer?

go ahead and transplant asap. that will give the plants more time to grow. the foxfarm mix your going to use works great in my experience. Dont feed for the first two to three weeks. the fox farm soil has plenty of nutes to sustain them for a while. Its your call if you want to put in the ground or if you want to use pots. Pots are nice because you can move them around as needed.
what kind of nutes are you going to be using later?

When you say don't feed them... You mean anything BESIDES water right? Cause I definitely watered them today after transplant.

Basically, filled the cup up until water started coming out the bottom and then let them drain real good. I figured at least a good initial watering would bring the soil to life.

Tonight I'll be switching the lights off for 6 hours for the first time.

Question... Regarding when and how much to water. Basically if the soil feels fairly dry, fill slow until it starts coming through the holes and let it drain good? Should I do this after the lights have been on for X amount of time or does it matter. Like, is it better to water right before switching lights on or off?

Regarding future nutes... Haven't planned on anything yet. Was going to work on getting past this initial indoor stage until I move them to pots outside. Then I will work on watering with nutes.

yea water only for the first 2 weeks. ur gonna have to learn to read the plants, and the soil to see when and how much water to give. let the soil dry before you water, you dont want to give too much water. Some say its best to water in the mornings as thats when the plant takes up the most nutrients. So yea, i would say water when the lights have just come on. Although i doubt you will notice a significant difference if at all. Basically you are growing a plant. There is no "right" way. Its all people's preferences and what they like to do. Experiment and find what works for you, thats the best way to learn.
good luck
