yes you can do this, BUT switching the cycles like that can stress out a plant and they might herm on you come flower time. This wouldnt happen anywhere in nature. It will also set you back a few weeks of growth. The best thing to do, if you really cant wait, is to cover up one of the branches with a spent toilet paper roll. Give that one branch 12/12 and voila.

This works? Wow sounds ridiculously simple. It doesn't stress the plant in the same way as 12/12 but on a smaller scale?

Its like you getting a cut on your finger vs getting your arm ripped off. Or take cuttings and 12/12 them!(thats what i do)

I just read about a technique that lets you flower certain branches at a time. You cover up the said branch with a piece of black garbage bag (construction type), and leave it there for the certain hours you dont want light getting to the branch. Thus creating a 12/12 cycle on the one branch

take a clone from the plant and flower the clone out
that will tell you the sex and wont stress out the mother plant.

I thought these seeds are sold as feminized. If this is the case its a waste of time sexing them.

i had the choice between feminized or regular and i got regular due to the difference in price. so far i have had a male and the effort i put into growing it then finding out afterwards it was a male didnt seem worth doing again. ill let you know how it goes
