fire hazard grow room

Ok, my grow room is in my loft and im worried incase it catches fire and burns the house down . i only think it might catch fire because of the heat building up .
Any suggestions ?? thanks:hump:

If your grow op is building up enough heat to start a fire, it's probably way too hot for your plants! Conversely, if your plants are doing OK, you are probably safe from a heat build-up fire.

90 degrees f. is on the "hot side" for plants. 451 degrees f. is the point that paper starts to burn. One, well placed, fan can disapate a lot of heat!

What are the actual temperatures that you are dealing with? Both in, and around the growing area.

i'm not growing in a loft, but i share your healthy fear of fire
my solution was to create a grow chamber with no combustible materials
the chamber was made from aluminum flashing, the fixture was a pizza dish - everything is metal and bulbs are contained inside
the extension cord comes from 1st alert, has detection wire in the cord and will break the circuit if a hot point occurs in the cable

haha ok but i wonder what my mum will say when she goes for a drink and the fridge is missing haha cheers m8
