I can't tell for sure without a higher resolution picture, but I'm thinking you may need to spray for cats...
Hahahaha yeah just can't seem to shake'm
How solid in your opinion is the correlation between the eventual sex of the plant, and the temperature you bring it up at when dealing with regular seeds?
And after you sex them, what's your criteria generally for determining which males to keep?
I think it's pretty solid but not sure it's established fact... I always get around a 60-70% female ratio and I always germ under 80... I've never personally done a high temp germ to know personally if it would flip the ratio, but sub and others say this is the case - sub says he knows a guy who always germs over 80 and always gets majority males from his seed germs. I've seen articles in the past before that higher fem ratios occur with lower temps and higher N levels. I don't keep males... they die a slow, cruel death here. I'm focused on mastering growing better before I even think about making seeds. Also want to get some really crazy females that'd be worth crossing... if it's not badass enough for me to keep a cut of it I'm not gonna make seeds from it
Have had a bunch of really solid good plants but nothing yet that I'd say was an elite standout that I'd feel bad about losing. If I can find the phenos of ace and timewreck I'm looking for I will though
Nice photos. I'll keep my little cab over having to lug a bunch of plants around twice a day. Have to make sure you're there on schedule every day
Yeah it gets to be a pain in the ass real quick... not something I'd want to do all year round for sure, but I can see doing one or two harvests a year on double shift as long as I'm not planning on making any trips
It's good for me too I need a little extra exercise a day. Back was killing me the first few days of lugging those pots around but now it's no problem. It helps that I have no life and am a recluse
One other benefit is that in having to pick up and move the plants every day, you always know exactly which ones need water when... separated two out this morning because they were light enough they needed to be watered. I overwatered one just a tad yesterday it was looking pretty droopy after but it perked back up before daytime today so obviously not too much overwatering
Been getting better lately mostly the plants don't even droop after I water'em and I never see drought symptoms at the time I water so I must be hitting it just right this time. I have overwatering tendancies so it's kind of an accomplishment for me to be getting better at not doing it
All the ace sprouts are up, only one has a dome on still. Happy because they are only under a 32w CFL and theya re leaning to it but not stretching... they're under a window so once sun comes up that won't be an issue. Gonna check cuts in a bit guessing i'll find some more that have rooted. The wife has already expressed regret at the new batch -- 'no break?' Nope, but I once again confirmed that I'm not doing as many... it's taken some will not to pop those other 10
I might still have to do another double 12/12 shift if I get a lot of good cuts and can't decide which to keep this run... but I'm gonna take a little break in between and take the wife on a weekend trip or something once I get down to one 12/12 shift again
She's gonna need it cuz she's gonna be busy trimming -- she said last night she likes it better when it's trimming time.... mainly because we have extra money after
