End of a long fucking day... it goes something like this.... wake up early (6am), move the plants, start doing work for my job, water 3 or 4 plants, go to work, come home for lunch & get the co2 tank, go back to work, go to the hydro store and get a new co2 tank, come home and recalibrate the co2 meters and get the co2 tank going, move the plants, water 4 more (pictured above), make dinner, water the seedlings, water the cuttings (starting to wilt), evaluate the unrooted cuts and get down to planting a few while watching weed nerd 129... end up planting somewhere between 10-15 rooted cuts... still have 3 or 4 more to put in dirt tomorrow... oh so i'm supposed to be up at 3am to do some troubleshooting on a misbehaving server.... put all the shit away from watering and all the cuts/seedlings/etc back... it's now after 1am... i'm hot and sweaty from putting all the shit away (seedlings/cuttings are upstairs so it's up and down the stairs a bit)... just gonna fucking smoke (feel like i've barely smoked all day due to being busy... of course i have taken small breaks to do so during the day, but not near enough so feeling a bit tense/uptight from not enough smoking & being too busy)... wife fell asleep waiting for me... a ganja farmers day sometimes is never done.
This week I'm definitely starting to feel burnt out from the twice daily plant moving and all the upkeep that's been going on... and i've not even had time to fully lollipop all the flower girls...
On the bright side....
My success rate at cloning has taken a step up, and there were a couple spots i made recognized mistakes on this one that i know i won't in the future (some confirming things i already thought before). I've decided cuttings is 99% moisture level + temperature and nothing else. Success rate this time is over 75%. I've got WAYYYYY too many cuttings (almost 20 now, but like I said, have several more to plant tomorrow and maybe more over the next few days I may let the rest die). Very happy tonight that the two chernojill cuttings survived. i didn't think any of them were going to make it. On one of them only one barely survived, the others wilted... and the one that's there now is still green but lower leaves wilty... i planted it and put a dome over it).
So I'll have cuttings of all the plants I put into flower the first week... and none for the ones that went in the second week (two of the chernojills and a couple of timewrecks). I'll reveg those if the keeper ends up among those.
Seedlings doing good. A few look a bit overwatered, but they're growing and not looking sickly. They don't look as badazz happy as the rest of my plants though... i'm going to go ahead and put the seedlings in 1.5 gallon pots soon as I get the time (maybe not til this weekend) and also whichever cuttings I decide to keep for evaluation once they have a few more days to set roots in.
My eyes may be fooling me, but I almost feel like some of the girls bud size has visibly grown just from the few hours of having co2 in there. Could be optimistic, but I do tend to notice these little changes. Nothing crazy, just noticable. Probably just my wishful thinking. I just want these babies to explode with massive flowers... I will be quite happy if they turn out with similar results to the first harvest of this year... so far it looks good to repeat that
Also, I hate to sound petty, but I hate led haters with a passion, and I want to have good results as much for shoving it in the led haters faces as much as the usual reasons everyone wants a good harvest
you're gonna see some real taunting should I pull 3-5z on the bigger plants and 2-3 on the smaller ones. I don't think any of these got vegged long enough to go over 5z, but I wouldn't mind being surprised
There are definitely a few that have the potential to go over 4 if they bulk up real good.
