Whattt up

So this is my first official 400w hps grow. I have it in a cooltube, with a nice strong 293cfm fan pulling air from the grow space through the tube, and out the box. I have carbon scrubber, but Im gunna hold off on installing it until im forced... I guess im just lazy lol.

Anywayy.. In the flower chamber I have 4 white skunk, 1 power kush, and an indica dominant bagseed. They are all 2 weeks into flower and looking good. Some of the pistils coming from the budsites look like they are starting to curl, is that normal? most look fine.. I bet its all good but let me knoww! thanks lol

and last but not least, in my veg compartment im growing four mother strains from fem seeds. Ive got Blueberry, Blue cheese, whiteberry, and church. All are at 11 days from germ and looking fabulouss!

I think I made the most significant change to the grow yesterday and it was very easy lol..

I decided that the light was too far from the tops of the plants.. I had it atleast 18" or more away from the tops Im now using chain link to adjust the height of the light.. The light is approx. 8" away from the tops.

I actually did a little foliar feeding yesterday with a small amount of nutes.. Ive also been adding tiger bloom every so often.

not the greatest idea to spray the buds man, looking for mold. nice looking plants

well my humidity isnt that high, and the bud sites are fairly new... I cant see them getting any mold from me misting them once or twice a week. Thanks for the input.

Yea I could see the problem down the line when the actual buds are forming, but I didnt think I would have much of an issue this early in flower.. I just wanted to give them a little extra boost lol, but i know now, no. misting. buds. lol

as far as the curling pistils, is that normal? or does it mean its not dark enough in the dark cycle? or what?

not many are curling, but enough to raise an eyebrow.

i dont think pistols curling are an issue .... i think curling leaves are what u look out for.... you would see the problem in the leaves prbably if it was a serious problem would just keep an eye on it

These are prob the healthiest plants ive grown indoors out of 3 legitimate attempts, well... with cfl lol.

As a former cfl user, I hate to admit it.. the hps is everything its cracked out to be. If you do it right, with the right accessories like cooltube, filter and a good fan, its feasible.. and so worth it.

No shit. I hate all the retarded CFL users on here that just don't get it. They never will until they bang out some grows with HID's, then they always come back say "Wow, this HPS is all it's cracked up to be".

A lot nicer not having to dick around with a zillion little lights too. Plants look good, setup looks good, I think you're on the right path.

I still use floro's for veg, but I use T5 and keep it nice and simple.

+ on the avoiding misting, plus i know people love to foliar feed, but the water can act like a magnifying glass and burn your plants pretty bad if ur not careful, looks good though, just put a 400w in my closet and am trying to be stealth but the heat is an issue! goodluck with the grow!
