Hey guys, so this will be my second grow in total, my first was in soil with sour diesel under a 150w, turned out pretty good with not many problems, but switching to hydro now. Going to try the 5 galon dwc method, I will be germinating 4 bruce banner #3 x monster cookies from greenpoint seeds, I'm starting them in bcuzz power plugs, similar to root riot. I'll then be putting them into the hydroton.
My bucket design will be a 5 galon bucket with aluminum tape wrapped around it to reflect the heat away, I'm using a general hydro dual diaghrahm pump that has 4 attachments for hoses, running 1 attachment per bucket, I'm going to split off each hose into 2 and run 2 air stones per bucket for lots of oxygen to the roots, the pump is also extremely powerful so they should do good. I also plan to run 1 water pump in each bucket and drill a hole in each net pot and run a hose up from the pump into the top slit of the net pot. (Would like people's opinions on that basic top drip system, not worried about top drip but it seemed simple so thought why not.) Im going to be vegging with a 400w mh and flowering with a 600w hps in a 4 x 4 x 6.5 secret jardin grow tent with a air cooled reflector and plenty of ventilation and a oscillating fan on the wall of the tent. I will be picking up a tri meter next week for ph ppm and temps, I'll just be using phd water untill the second set of leaves then introducing 1/4 strength every 3 days untill full strength. I'm using aqua flakes a and b nutrients and changing my buckets water every 7 days, I'm also using botanicare Aqua shield to prevent root problems, and I'm keeping everything clean as possible, I even have a new pair of shoes to wear just for inside the tent, I plan to lst my plants gently and just open them up more to get even light on the buds and to have 9 or 10 big top buds per plant and will most likely trim off any lower growth on the very bottom of the plant to send energy to the top. Im hoping to get atleast 3 ozs per plant, considering I'm flowering with a 600w and vegging for 5 weeks in hydro, hoping to grow them 4 feet tall max by harvest time. , temps 75 lights on 70 lights off, humidity is just right, oscillating fan inside plus a 6 inch exhaust fan pulling more then enough air to exhaust the tent every 5 minutes, lights 12 inches from tops, hopefully everything goes good, I'm using Aqua flakes nutes in a peatmoss/perlite soileds mix with worm castings, bat guano, and some sea soil, hoping to get a pound or a little less!
