first attempt cloning. help plz

I attempted a few clone cuts off my girls.
I followed the procedures and advice of many of the cloning posts.

Anyway, I did this all about 2 weeks ago and the clones themselfs have not grown at all. Granted they look great, they have yet to grow at all.
Is this normal?
Im guessing that they will probably grow roots before foliage.

Any advice or comments are more than welcome.

if they look great after 2 weeks, your on the right track, they are just developing root growth and cannot produce new growth until the roots are established, should be in the next week though.

Can you clone a plant that is flowering

depends on how far into flowering the plant is. people have had success here doing it but i dont think it was to far into flowering

your correct, anyways I like to mist my cuttings with a WEAK fertilizer solution. evry few days.

i mist with water only a few times a day.

Nitrogen prevents or slows down root development and it is heavily found in your ""Grow nutrients (not your bloom nutrients). So it is recomended that you flush your mother plants before you take clones to minimize the amout of nitrogen and hold of on the nutrients. I use clone-ex solution to help with the cuttling but willow water will also promote root development.

Also the misting helps take in water while there is a lack of root structure but try not to over do it and if you use domes which can promote mildew remember to let them air out a couple hours out of the day

i forgot to mention that the cuts were taken from females about 2 weeks into flowering. they have a few white hairs on the head of each.
Will these revert back to veg?

They will revert to veg as long as you increase the light they receive daily (18-24hr). The white hairs or "pistols" will not go away but the plant will begin to produce more vegetation and begin to grow again as opposed to promoting bud growth. They may or may not get shocked a little and it will take a week or so maybe more for them to adjust to the new light schedule again, but you should be good.

Revegging ,mean that the clones take much longer to root and then start growing again, takes around 4 weeks from what I have heard, would be quicker to clonen before you flower those girls and then get rid of all the ones that you discover will be male after your parent plants flower, that what im doing at the moment.

takes a lot longer to clone budding cutts, can take a month or more, i would wait till you crop the plant but leave some small branches and budds, then put the lot under 24/7 light and re vedge the whole thing, but this is slow as well it will take about a month before you get enough new growth for cutts.

Guess I'll throw my two cents in. Cloning is a very easy process and depending on the maturity of the plant and whether in flower or not, it all comes down to time. Flowering clones take as stated above can take 2 weeks to a month to root before she will start to grow. The advantage to cloning a flowering plant is when she revegs you will see an explosion of lateral branching. This lateral branching will grow quickly and make excellent clones. You will have to put up with some disfigured leaves as it revegs, these will disappear quickly and return to normal leaves.
The advantage in my opinion is the number of clones available. The major disadvantage in my experience is many budsites for flowering but on average smaller buds per site. But this could just be me and the way I grow.
Taking clones from mature vegging plants is probably the easiest and fastest. The amount of time will come down to strain and the method you are using to clone.
Taking clones from sexually immature plants is also fairly easy but as in flowering plants this is where most of the failures come from.
