Hey,
I'm just about ready to start my first ever grow.
Using Sweet Seeds, 2x8 Litre Pots, Canna Terra Professional Soil and 2x45w red spectrum 2700k CFL lights.
Need advice on nutes and a feeding schedule. also someone to clarify if my gears suitable would be good :-o
Cheers!

CFLs are no good...if you have money and space to get good lights then do. If you don't have the money "no way. no how." Because autos need so much light to grow properly...I mean they are small, but they still want a lot of light, so the CFLs are alright to start with, but you probably won't be too happy with your results...

CFL's are ok for begginers i suppose. They are cheap enough to run a couple with little increase to your energy bil, and of course they altogether just cheap bulbs that CAN produce decent bud (mid-high). Although you will need to run a lot of CFL's for very good dense frosty buds.

They will work...they just won't work well...if you want buds like you see in people's bragging pics then what you want are some HID lights...Metal Halide for veg and High Pressure sodium for flower...you will just have to do some searching to find what you want..but most people who have started with CFLs consider the money spent on them and their fixtures and what not to be a waste...I know I feel like it was a waste...I mean as soon as I could upgrade I did so I could have just waited and bought the good lights to begin with and saved some money...but the allure of CFLs was just too great...

I finished a few plants under CFLs and they were alright, but nothing compared to what I can do now with the big lights...lol

okay, i've had a wee look around and reckon i'll get a 400watt HID light for my next grow.
I've taken a picture of the space i'll be using, does this seem alright for what i've got?

You may want to go with T5 floros in that small space but it's hard to tell how big your grow space is from the pics.
