yeah.. I gotta say.. this being my first 'water cure', I'm fairly impressed with the results. The smell did diminish some.. but not as much as I thought it would. Potency has def. improved compared to past jar cures.. the looks of the buds is a tad bit darker than if they would have been air dried then cured in jars like I usually would do.. but I'm not interested in commercial looks because I don't sell anything I grow.. I just smoke it.

But yeah, I'll def. be using the water cure for future harvests. Not all of them will be water cured.. but I might start doing half the harvest with water curing.. and then the other half of it just do like I've always done.. that way I get the best of both worlds.. ;)

Lastly.. I loaded a bowl.. took one hit.. started staring at the tv.. and went into one of those dazes where.. your looking at the tv.. but in your head your not really paying attention to whats going on on the tv.. your actually thinking of all kinds of different shit. I dunno.. hard to explain. And this is just the harvest from my 'mids' plant too.. this isn't the goody good.

Think I'll let the rest dry up some more for tomorrow and see how it is once its had an extra night to dry up.

peace.

I used to smoke water cured all the time.smooth good taste.but it makes me smoke more and kashed my lungs out..lol.so watch out..

So you didn't change the water every 12-24 hours? Yeah, that would be "eeeewwwww".

Water soluble terpenes contribute significantly to the quality, duration, and ceiling of the high. Water curing washes them away. Perceived potency gains are only due to the concentrating effect the process has on non water soluble cannabinoids within the bud by weight. The same effect can be accomplished in a much more efficient way while still preserving the terpenes with a simple dry sift. I might add, well made dry sift will continue to cure for many months and improve with age while water cured herbs are fixed once dry in a state where no improvement will be seen. That's not because they are at their best, in fact, quite the opposite. Its because all the nuances and subtleties that make the herbs magical have been thrown down the drain. LD

im not sure what all of landdragon is right or much about it, but i do know trichomes are non soluble in water, and your essentially leaving more thc and taking away more plant material when you water cure, leaving for a stronger product, you need less to feel the same effect as you took away alot of the stuff you dont need, dragon may be right about terpenes but i thought they only contributed to the taste, i may be wrong though :peace:

terpenes and flavoonids contribute to the high as well.

ive said it before and will say it again. This is the dumbest shit I have ever heard of. If you are going to masturbate your weed then make iso or hash or bho. A real concentrate... Instead you get the worst of both worlds. Shit taste, Shit look, just as much carcinogens.
Do you also smoke your primo home grown from a metal bowl out of a plastic bong? Or better yet a coke can or an apple?
