FIRST BHO MAKE

I made BHO first time, think it came out great but still needs improvement, but here are the things I used if u know of a better way please comment's welcome...

2 whip it (pure butain)

Copper extraction tube (Lowes)

Coffee filter

Bunch of premium trim from my --

Strawberry caught & mango kush hsrvest

Razor & plate with hot pan water under.

If you can see where I could improve please help thanks

With 2 cans & about lil over a Half Oz trim I got 2 1/2 G but it won't stay hard... 3 mins out freezer it's like really runny like sticky oil.... why is that?

You purge in the freezer? It doesn't get the environment to purge as well as in a vacuum chamber. Probably needs some more time to purge. Give it a few days and it will be much better and more waxy than oily.

copper extraction tube, no good if I remember right.
Some type of reaction with solvent.

I purged 2wice 30 mins on stove with hot water each time, them in freezer... so you mean purge 2wice then leave out a few day B4 freezer??

From what I read it's... Brass, metal, galvanized or not & PVC pipe that's it... can u post something saying otherwise... I did the research but found nothing....

Someone with the knowledge will be along. it's about something leaching out of the copper from the solvent. It's been awhile since I read it but someone mentioned the possibility of it being lethal if I remember right. I remember them saying something about a green tint to the oil. Other than that it's a blur, I use a stainless steel closed loop system.
It may help if a mod moved this thread to the proper section, concentrates.

Never seen a glass closed loop system so I'm gonna have to disagree about glass being safest. not a thing wrong with stainless.

I agree with no copper. If you can't use copper in a reservoir for growing, then I'm sure you can't use it With butane and something you want to smoke. There's a reason that most retailers only sell glass or stainless steel.

Lol, if you can't properly purge via vacuum chamber and extract via a closed loop system, what scientists use in a lab btw, you should stick to edibles/Qwiso/dry ice extractions.

Bho glass tube will work for my personal use Np... I just do trim & small buds/ extras for Bho anyway..

Lol, and it literally says in the article about copper being in these "poisonous" closed loop systems...to the OP, that article is just about crappy closed loop systems that people get for cheap
