First cannabis grow. General help/advice needed

The selection is going to be better in certain regions. I know where I'm at most of the nurseries and garden centers have added product lines in order to get in on the high profit margins of selling nutrients. But I'm in a legal state. In fact less than an ounce of Marijuana was decriminalized way back in 1973 so the attitudes towards pot here have been pretty liberal for decades. You're probably not going to find the same in say Mississippi or Alabama. So as @Herb & Suds stated. Amazon

Those poor people in MS, MI & AL. It's still legit 1950 down there with drug laws. Scary.

I got some good recommendations and i’ll grab one of them soon. I thought superthrive was fertilizer, i now know it’s not and doesn’t do anything. The ratios and shit are confusing and they all have different analysis, I just needed input

The biggest problem with rocks is that it offers less room for roots. They don't usually cause any noticeable problems other than reduced growing potential, which is why people still mistakenly use them. It's not one of those mistakes that outright kills plants. Even I used rocks a long, long time before I knew better. It was just something my parents did that I inherited without knowing why they did it.

Everyone here probably has some strange growing habits that might not be necessary. It's up to us to scrutinize every step, really.

Ya gotta keep those little sprouts as close as to light as possible, without damaging of course. I still use an old fluorescent set-up to start seedlings......works great. Those plants , like other plants grow tall and spindly without sufficient lighting. I think your other plants will come around. Many times a seedling has trouble starting out. They seem to usually bounce back. I always water tender little sprouts/seedlings very gently with fine tip spray bottle.....ya don't want to dislodge the roots. Don't over water , they don't need much.

Hey there! I actually started this seedling indoors with only natural window light, which probably explains the long and spindly stem! Since I do have these new sprouts under my LED I think they will do a bit better. I have cotyl-whatever’s and the first baby serrated/fan leaves popping out of the seed casings on them today. I started in soil the night before last so hoping that’s good signs !

The big reason for keeping the drain pans empty is to help eliminate fungus gnats from the area. Standing water provides them a breeding area and water source which you don't want to have around. It also helps with possible mold and other pathogens.

Those little tender f-ers can make me nervous , actually the whole grow from start to finish can make me nervous. I'm very attentive , scrutinizing each plant every day which allows me to catch any problem early.

Natural light from windowsill certainly explains your towering young seedling , I've seen people do that many times.......it sucks. Ya got cotyledons and leaves coming ,
your on your way. Your going to love growing. Give me a shout anytime ! I've been growing for 50yrs, indoor and out . I wouldn't over water , or over feed , that gives so many people problems.
