My master kush was just put in soil last night, so i don't expect it to be out of soil until tomorrow or the next day. So this is my little garden:leaf:
Tips needed and appreciated.

Get some reflectors for the lights..you are wasting a lot of light., and they should be a bit closer to the plants ..aprox 4" .looking good though!
Cheers.

Thank you for the feedback. The lights are about 6" from the surface of the soil. I figure the extra 2" couldn't hurt in the first 2 weeks. I plan on Lsting, topping, and lollypoping, throughout their development. Also I do plan to make a reflector within the next week. Thinking about cardboard and mylar. Would that be a good idea? I mean the lights don't get hot at all.

Mylar is great stuff. I stay away from Cardboard as I worry way to much about having a fire...but if they do not get very hot..no worries...if you are only gonna use CB though...paint it Flat white ...and you are correct...2" is not that much of a deal..thought they were higher from the pics.

What would you recommend i use for a reflector other than CB and mylar? I really don't want to risk a fire. I mean i can touch the bulb no problem, and there running 24/7 right now, but i really really don't want to risk a fire. I remeasured the light distance also and realized the were to high, about 7-8 inch above the soil so i lowered them to about 5-6 inch. The room temp right now is around 76'F-78'F.

Mylar and CB is fine. No worries when using CFL..they wont get hot enough. I only say that cause I use Very big HPS lights, and would never trust them around CB overnight....CFL's dont think would ever get hot enough to start a fire :) ... But my honest opinion..Mylar is the way to go :)

Great lighting rig, and a very sharp, clean set-up, caught my eye right away.
Thanks for inviting us along! I'm sub'd up and good to go.

Still too high by my experience, I would try to stay within 2.5"-1.5" depending on how much growth your expecting, but never much further then that.
Also, do you plan to employ and training or other techniques to control growth?
Sorry, just was re-reading and saw no one else picked up on this.

Thank you. This gives me a lil more confidence about the outcome of this garden. My light was so cheap, but i figure it will allow ample amount of light for what i need. Thank you for noticing my craftsmanship. Will post some more pics when i get the mylar.

I do plan to train. topping, lsting, and lollipoping. I was thinking of scroging but really want the experience without the screen first. I've lowered the lights to 3" above soil, any closer and my plants will grow into the light over night. I don't want that.
Updates soon. Thanks for subbing.

Okay, so here's an update for today. Both Wreckage's are doing great. They're right on track as far as growth goes and no deficiencies...yet. As far as my Master Kush goes it has yet to surface, but no doubt in my mind she'll pop tomorrow.
Anyway here are some pics:

Here is Wreckage #1 day 3 out of soil.

Here is the Wreckage #2 Day 2 out of soil.

Since the Wreckage's are regular seed's I am preparing for a male (hopefully both female). So just in case of a male i have a White Widow X Big Bud (fem) seed that i will grow 12/12 from seed if necessary. Anyway that's my update for the day.

So my Master Kush popped, but there is only one colyteon. I have never seen this before. There has been no foul play. Has anyone experienced this. Also is this going to cause a problem. I mean the two true leaves are still small but opening a lil every hour.
Here are some pics.

It should be ok, those leaves fall off any case so the plant isn't to attached to them.
Nice pics, keep us informed. :)

Bro, I have had seeds pop and the shell stays on.....for a while!! LOL No problem!! Yours will be fine...your getting good advice from the other members. Keep the light ON the plants pretty much, 2" away at most! I grow with cfl's as well, just 2 200 real watters. You probably doubled your light getting to plants, by incorporating your DIY hood.....Good luck!
