Love this thread. I'm trying a low wattage route on some high dollar automatics I shipped to myself from Amsterdam. Its just starting so nothing to take pic of yet, but i'm running 2x 6400 30 watt and 1 x 3000 30 watt and 2 blue 13 watt LED panels and 2 red 13 watt Led panels. I plan on switching to 2x 3000 and 1x 6400 when these little autos start flowering, supposed to be completely done in under 8 weeks. I'm hoping running a small variety of cfl's along with the LEDS will grow these autos since they're not supposed to need a ton of light. The whole system is 142 watts but if the plants don't get huge oh well, I like small for my situation(own place but lots of uncool inlaws.)
Just curious on how you think this will end up, I know the LEDS are a bit of a wild card as everyone flips when the bulb is under 1 watt but I know they grow tomatoes with these commercially. Additionally they are planted in 50/50 foxfarm and MG perlite. MG perlite is lightly nuted but down in the range like .06 n-p-k. I also mirrored(just bought a few cheap tall mirrors) the floor and painted the closet walls gloss white. Quite interested in opinion on it as there doesn't seem to be alot of information on autos around here.
MY logic is since I'm giving them 24hrs non stop for 2 months I wanted a lower power system that covered all my bases. So I went 660 and 450 leds and 3000/6400 cfls. i don't intend on growing giants, just getting an ounce per plant would make me happy(5 going.)
Thoughts?
