ok, so I figured I would throw out some specs for the flowering area that I have designated for the Bubblelicious Med grow. This will at least give some form of idea what will be taking place & will allow for the flamers to have something to flame about. You are probably sitting there thinking THIS WONT WORK. Well we will see now won't we.

Area:
2'7"x1'4"x1'10" (31"x16"x22")
Lighting:
6x 42w = 252w / 15,600 Lumen's
8x 26w = 208w / 12,800 Lumen's
Total 460w / 28,400 Lumens
Pots:
28 1/2 2 Liter's
Plants:
56 Plants. 2 Plants Per 1/2 2 Liter
Grow Style:
CFL SOG

Wow man, thats cool how you got 28 plants in small quarters like that....I take it all of these are from the clones you have growing? I wont get into my million of questions about cloning yet...I'd like your opinion on 26 wat CFL's vs. T5 Tube lights. After further researching and shopping, I cam across a T5 setup that looks nice. Its a 4 foot, 8-bulb fixture that would produce about 40K Lumens. I figure if I go this route, i'll have to adjust the palnts heights as they wont be the same, but is there a reason you prefer 26 watt bulbs vs. T5's?

Thank much

Honestly I personally am not able to give any pro's/con's for either CFL or Tube lights as this is really my first grow focused purely on cfl / low budget style. I have seen many threads with great results using the T5 Tube lights, but have also seen many that the tube lights were merely a supplemental side lighting for large plant HID setups.

This to me is purely just a personal test on trying CFL's & Micro gardening. (Very hard to put down the HPS and try micro growing).

Since I do not plan on growing a few large plants but many small plants 7 sets of 2x cfl's allow me to adjust lighting per row instead of for the entire area like a tube light would do.

one thing though
THATS ALOT OF CFL's and will make a good bit of heat

just an idea....get some plexiglass and build a box "Cooltube" and then have it seperate then the box intake and outtake

Ya i thought about creating a barrier that I could just circulate away from the plants but decided against it, just would add another item into the equation. :p I should end up with ample ventilation.

Day 37

Of the 28 Clones that were put into flower 8 or so look decent, the rest will surely survive but the contaminated rockwool gave them a pretty bad ass whooping. Most will probably be nothing more than a base nugget. In the following days/weeks these will be removed & replaced with clones that were not all jacked by the contaminated rockwool. Unless they show to start pushing out & up instead of staying @ there extreme wilted state.

Plant's will be continuously added to the flowering area until the area is maxed out with good clones.

** Edit **

32 clones in the flowering room now.

well i was drunk as shit last night

and your CFL's looked like there was about 24 of them, and i now notice you only going to use 14, which i have 14 26 watters running fine with slack ass vent's so you should be good

these all gonna be clones i assume then? did you use Gel for cloning or did you just let them sprout roots in the water over 10 or so days?

Nah just 6x 42w & 8x 26w.

Ya these are all going to be clones. There are 32 in the flowering area right now. There are some of the clones that will not make it im sure (or just be lil nugs) but they will be removed as good clones become available (once the entire area is filled then the clones from the contaiminated rockwool that are crap will be removed)

Clones were all done using Clonex Gel (I should have used Olivia's cloning Gel but Clonex is what I have on hand so.)

4x 42w lights will not be added to flower area untill initial stretching has occured.

so room will be 2x 42w & 8x26w for almost a week. (The extra 42's would be more unused light so they will be left off for at least a week)

I am currently unsure if Flowering will be documented in this thread or possibly a new thread started to document the flowering.

Most likely a new thread will be started and this thread will go way of the Page --> that way only to appear as a bump later on down the road..

Well. im almost 5 days into this test run i'm doing with these 3 bag seeds I have and already my noviceness has shown.

After planting the germinated seeds root down, they sprouted after 2 days. Now they seem like they are regressing-the 2nd pic shows (if you can see the blurry image) that the seed closed back up! Its basically the seed on top of a small stem. What would have caused this? I just cant afford to fuck up the 10 feminized lowryder 2's I have coming. One thing....i never watered the small jiffy cups before I planted the seed -should I have? I only have been spraying the sprouts with a water bottle, but a few times a day, because everytime I check, the soil is bone dry. Any advice is truly appreciated. Attached are two of the 3 "sprouts" and the lights over the jiffy cups-2, 26 watt, 6,500k CFL's.

...fucking awesome, said image wasnt valid when I uploaded....anyways, help if u could, thanks guys

What kind of soil do you have in your jiffy pots? I would water the soil inside the jiffy pot until you see water leaking out of the bottom & even a little more if the sides of your jiffy pot do not get wet.

If I understand correctly you never watered the soil that was in the jiffy pot right? You definitely need to. Is your seed poked through the surface of the dirt with its shell still on? If so id leave it, just keep your soil moist (with peat pots you can over water and all excess water will be expelled through the bottom/sides of the peat pot).

The Mothers will no longer have pics taken of them daily. Basically seed to mother is enough of a journal for there veg stage, I think that the pictures have shown that there gonna live & thrive. They thrived on cheap $1.99 potting soil & $3 Shultz 10-15-10. Now lets see what they do in the flowering room. (Course i have to use a $3 flowering nutes to keep it Low budget lol)

Pictures from this point out will be of the clones that have been put into the flowering area.

GOAL: Illusive 1g per watt.
