First CFL Grow

I am about to start using my new DWC system, and plan on using CFL's due to space and cost. What is the minimum wattage I need to start four seeds? What is the minimum wattage I need to grow and flower two plants? I plan on starting four seeds, expecting 2 to be male. My budget is very limited. Are more lower wattage lights better than less higher wattage lights? Also, know of any good cheap reflectors should I need one? thanks! As soon as I figure this out I get to start growing!

I plan on using 3, 55W bulbs, each putting out 3600 lumens, totaling 10,800 lumens. That will be enough to grow two plants right? If I get 3 or four females, I'll have to add more light

Yeah its ok to start out with. What I realized with they cfl that I have going is that it's really a buy as you go kinda project for your first run. Good Luck and remember proper WATER, AIR and LIGHT will show in your final product

thanks yeah I'll definitely be buying as I go, hopefully in time. thanks for the help!

I found some old black lights that I can put new bulbs in. As of now my setup will be
(3) 55W CFL, 3600 lumens, 5000K
(1) F15T8 20W 700 Lumens, 6500K
(1) F20T10 20W, 1200 lumens, 4200K

(I am still looking for 6500K 55W and F20T10s)

You can also get a $45, 70 HPS at home depot for flowering. plugs right into the wall and doesn't get hot. Unless you can spend the money on more CFL for flowering.

CFL are great though. They are what got me into indoor growing and you can get good yields with them.

Good luck on you upcoming DWC setup. If you have done some homework I am sure you will be happy.
