Start by saying, this is not my first marijuana grow experience, I have several years of growing experience indoors in soil using HID light set ups with great success. Recently harvested and now just want to experiment with a very small single plant fluorescent light set up for something to do.

Starting with a solo party cub, Jiffy seed starting mix, one 100w CFL and three Amnesia Haze seeds from Royal Queen seeds.

July 25, Dropped the seeds in water overnight and planted in Solo cups filled with Juffy seed starting soil then covered with plastic wrap and rubber bands.

48 Hrs. later all three broke ground, plastic removed and placed under 100w (5000k Kelvin temp.) CFL clip on type fixture.

Today made my choice to keep this one out of the three.

First shot of nutes two days ago, Fox Farm Grow Big and the Big Bloom.

The pics are as of right now, 2 weeks from dry seed, first nutes given, 18hrs of light stand back we are up and running. Expecting to transplant in two weeks into 3 gallon pot.

Will update regularly expect to harvest in November we'll see....

Just an update, well it's been one week since the first post so this baby is now 3 weeks from dry seed. Shes been on 18hrs. of light and has had her second taste of the Fox Farm "Grow Big" and the "Big Bloom" every other watering. At this point she needs watering every 3 or 4 days. As you can see she agrees with her world. Looking forward to transplanting into a 3gal. in 7 days, will bout double in size by then. I've never done the fluorescent only thing before I have some creative ideas spinning around, well anyway will update in a week again, that will be at the transplanting and show the progress.....

It's 30 days from dry seed Happy Birthday today, had original intentions of transplanting today, however she could not wait and was planted 48hrs early two day ago. Transplant was simple, let the cup dry out a bit, then totally saturated a 3 gallon container let sit for an hour and hollowed out the same shape as the solo cup, flipped the cup over out she came and into the pot. Moisture from the wet soil was absorbed as needed into the dryer transplanted root plug and shows no signs of stress. Up to this time using the single CFL things have gone well, now it's time for a new FLO set up to keep her explosive growth going. Will update in another week and show it off and the progress. Todays pics. she's short fat and in full uptake mode, gosh this is fun.

Update (week 5 from seed): The new light system has worked very well for a week and kinda proud of the design and how things are working out. My 3 gallon pot which is square and slightly tapers from the bottom up, this taper plays in very well with the design. Used four 3ft.X 3/4 in. wood dowels and pushed to the bottom at all four corners of containers. Cut four bamboo pieces and attached to dowels with plastic tie wraps on four sides. Attached three close to top to support the cords and one lower, can always add more later if needed. Currently (more later) using three 100watt (5000k) CFLs in clip-on reflector shop lights. Now am able to place any light precisely where wanted, just position the light rotate and adjust the l, clip and tighten the wing nut and perfect placement of the light is achieved. Now am in total control of the light distribution and able to side light for those "big hips" needed on this short super fat plant.
She's now 5 weeks old and has been enjoying 18hrs. of daily light at 78 degrees, and two days ago had her first "Big Girl" watering since before transplanting, along with a big full dose of nutes, being again the "Fox Farm Grow Big" and the "Big Bloom". This seems to have really rang her bell, you can actually watch her get bigger hourly, secondary growth is explosive and her branch structure in super thick and will support the future growth very well. Being this a one plant hobby grow, am in no hurry, am looking to totally control the canopy with bending, ties or what other means to see where this can go. This lady now trusts me and wants to please, I am in total control here, it's all going to go all my way and she knows it....

Stay tuned, update in a another week and share the latest.

End of week 6 from seed: Wow we really had a huge week of vegging, secondary growth has totally overtaken over, fan leaves are buried in sea of green as she explodes towards the light. My norm is a HID system with 1000w MH blazing after transplant, so I have been jonzun for the big lights, however pleased.
I always grow from seed, for the added excitement of each plant being an individual, with her own personality and performance, this lady has been a real dream to manage, short, fat and really thick structure, bud sites everywhere. Wonderful green color, never a pale leaf and likes to drink the nutes... I have grown this strain 5 times, each has been smooth and never any surprises, I did cull out two others before the transplant, she was the chosen one, for reasons.
Will start 12hr. light cycle now, along with some changes, new med's, with her hormones changing, will bring out her true heritage, these changes are gonna rattle her cage..... will update in another week.....

End of week one: Lots of changes all the way around this week, started flower 12hr light cycle, nutrient changes and added another light.
Changed out the CFL bulbs to the warmer (kelvin) temps and left one of the cooler temps for more full spectrum. Changed nutes to the Tiger Bloom and Open Seasime soluble and of course the Big Bloom, all Fox Farm.
So now it all begins, off to a good start and looking forward to the coming week, able to now water with a full gallon twice a week and feed every other watering. Keeping the light super close and move around daily, keeping low on sides to promote and maintain her low profile.

Here's the latest pics... Light system works terrific....

Starting week 3 and things are moving along, small colitas are appearing and am maintaining same nutes as last week, and have tied her down and lolly popped the lower part. Really trying to manage the bud canopy to make up for the CFL light penetration and keeping the lights close.

Week 4: Have adjusted her nutes to a mixture of Fox Farm's, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom and the Beastie Bloom soluble. Definitely not an organic grow, I'll deal with the chemical clean up later during flush. Have kept up the tie downs, keeping the lights close and move around daily. Watering with a gallon every 3 or 4 days and feeding every other watering. Now have bud set and bracing for the blast off... stay tuned...

Week five: Maintaining the same nutrients as last week, and has responded very well, the added nitrogen this late gives a little more push at a time when buds are lining up and growth is exploding. Super green, thick branches and lots of bud sites everywhere. Drinking a gallon dry every 3.5 days now expecting to maintain same rate for about another week or so. Still very skeptical as if these CFL's lights provide the energy she deserves as we move along. Keeping em super close and manage daily. Looking for huge changes this coming week in full flower mode.

Week six: She continues this week in full flower with rapid growth, spitting out huge amounts of white pistol hairs. Have again changed up the nutrients, deleting the Big Grow and the Beastie Bloom soluble. Now going with Fox Farm's "Tiger Bloom" Big Bloom" and the Cha-Ching soluble. Nice deep green color, no pale or fading leaves anywhere. Would like to see another week of this super growth until the start of the slowdown. Continue to tie down branches maintaining the light canopy area. Able to maintain 3 day water schedule with every other water feeding so she's getting the meds twice a week and loving it. Starting to frost up and starting to look like a marijuana plant. Oh... being about a month away from harvest, I planted a single "Power Skunk" seed this week, should be able to transplant at harvest and getting about a 30 day head start.

We are now in week 7, past week has produced more super bud growth, starting to see an occasional brown hair and water consumption is down a bit from last week. Keep feeding same nutes as before and her response has been great so far. Only having the one plant is so different, usually am dealing with multi strain grows with varying needs and requirements of others. She gets all my attention and the synergy between plant and grower is very focused. So now the plan is to hold steady same nutes and try to extend the bud growth as long as possible, it's really her call, keep growing and I will provide everything. This is is a very exciting time, it's all starting to come together, buds are firm and the future looks bright. The seedling spends 12 hrs. with her big cousin and 6 hrs. outside the room. Here are the today pics and I must give most credit to this wonderful well breed hybrid and very special... she's showing to be quite the athlete... stay tuned this is gonna be terrific.

Day 55: Things are moving along, she had a feeding two days ago, seems to give some aid in extending bud growth and keeping things nice and green. She's slowing down, fewer new white pistils, red hairs about 50+%, and very sticky.

Buds have dense centers and feel nice and firm, they should fatten up nicely over the next few weeks as we creep towards the end. Here are todays pics.....
