Hmm, I have yet to run into any cal issue ph'ing in that range. In fact, you can easily do a search and find that many others ph that high and has not had any issues doing so either.
Here are my plants in coco at 6.5

are these the ones you started in November that you thought may have been duds?

by your own admissions you haven’t grown since 2013/2014 so at most 3 months of coco growing doesn’t constitute a wealth of coco knowledge.

not saying you’re wrong but in my 12 years of coco usage I’ve found 5.5-6.2 to be about the best area for growth during veg and flower.

anything outside these ranges and you can get issue.

LOL. Wtf me asking about something being a dud has to do the topic at hand? Oh I guess it's suppose to be you making a dig or taking a shot at me, lame.

And who the fuck told you that I only have 3 months of growing in coco? Before I stopped growing that was my medium of choice and like I said, I and many of others never had a cal issue ph'ing that high.

Wasn’t taking a dig but clearly you thought i was so I apologise for that.

Like I said in my post not saying you’re wrong just from what I’ve found 5.5-6.2 works best, source water plays a big Part as too do choice of nutrients.

Oh, ok. I definitely did jump the gun and assumed the worst, and man to man, I apologies as well.

You know what, I didn't take certain factors into account. My water source comes out to 0-50ppms and 6.9ph on my meter.
As I stated earlier, I ph high early and start to march it down towards 6.0 late veg and flower.
However, if I have to feed heavy, I'll ph high (no matter the stage). But once I hit my target ppms, I'll ph low.

That’s pretty much how I do some of my feeding lol.

knowing in the back of my mind that if I over feed and EC starts to climb in the rootzone that the pH drops quite drastically so the increased pH on heavier feeding usually helps to speed The correction feedings lol.

But I tend to give people the blanket 6pH as it works and works well lol.

Oh ok. We're definitely on the same page daddio.
Let me ask you something, what size pots do you prefer to flower in? How often are you feeding and at what EC?
Thanks in advance.

My profile is open for my started threads I don’t hide my profile from anyone on RIU.

This is my latest round

Single plant scrog

Feel free to ask anything about the grow on the journal. It’s only 6 pages long :D And is from germination to day 64 of 12/12.

Don’t fancy clogging up this guys thread.

Update: seems to have been a zinc def possibly the entire time, I switched nutes yesterday to the GH 3 part flora, I think there's about a half inch on each plant, I'll post pics if they are fixed.

If you’re growing in coco you can’t go wrong with GH Flora or if you want to save a few bucks AN Jungle Juice. JJ is basically an exact knockoff of Flora, for less money.

Also, it may be a little more, but for growing medium I go with Mother Earth Coco Coir with perlite in 5 gal cloth pots. Mother Earth coco is super clean, mixed properly with perlite, and pre-buffered with cal mag for your seedlings.

I use the following nutes and have had great results:

-Micro
-Grow
-Bloom
-Cal/mag
-Big Bud (during veg)
-Bud Candy (early - mid bloom)
-Overdrive (late bloom bud hardner)

I just dial the feeding amount back to about 60-65% of the recommendation on the bottle. Usually keeps my ppm and ec right on the money. Also, depending on your water supply keep your ph between 5.5-6.2.

Runoff actually came out lower then it went in this morning, and growth seems to have continued slightly, not allot, but enough to know I'm headed in the right direction. Prior to this morning runoff ef was the same going in since the problem started. I'm a fan of flora, I thought it was well priced also. That heavy 16 brand is a joke, I shoulda known when the price of every micronutrient, microorganism, and mychrohyzae product in the line was over 80 bucks, on top of that if you mix even on the low end of what they suggest you'd be sitting with a EC of like 2.4 lol. Anyway zinc seems to have been the issue.
