First day of flower, PLEASE READ

Ok so my plants are 13-17 inches tall, so it's time to throw em in the ol flower cycle. I was reading the FAQ on HPS and how far it should be hung from the tops of the plants...it said 4 feet...is this right? I heard 24-32 inches? I was also wondering if it's ok to have my irrigation cycle on my ebb and flow set up go off during the "dark" period, or do I only want to feed and water during light hours? Please help.

I was also wondering if it's normal for every single one of my plants to show sex during the last day of veg? Does that mean they will be hermies?

The ballast is a 400 watt, using a MH light....do I need to feed more during flower? full str nutes at beginning?

so they flowered the first day of 12/12??

mine flowered on 24/0 but i think i have auto flowering plants

plants will sometimes show flowers even when they arent on 12/12. its just their way of saying they have reached sexual maturity and are ready to flower. as for hps lights. i can keep mine 6 inches away from the plants cause they are air cooled. but in your case just lower them until when u hold ur hand at the top of the plant ur not geting burned. 24 inches in a good place to start at and just work from there. also you dont want to water at night, that is bad. only water during light hours.
