First DWC grow

How the fuck are they so thick & healthy?

Coolers will only insulate. so unless you are keeping them in a cool area it won't help. It just insulates from temp fluctuations but a cooler that sits in a 80 deg room for...well weeks, will obviously become just as warm. As long as your not breaking 80 you can probably sneak by fine, but dwc is more sensitive to water temps then flood and drain so be cautious. Only way I would actually get coolers is if you night water temp is like 60 and then day is like 80, meaning a big swing... but if it's constant 75 or 80 save ur cash... u'd be better off saving up for a chiller or relocating the rez to a cooler area (basement floors rule for rezs).

I am on a basement floor already, sucks.

I think exhausting out that reflector air instead of dumping into the room will help out the most.

I moved the veg tent air pump into a dark corner to help temps, seems like they went up 1C from last night. They were at 24C, now they're at 25C.

When I come home before lights on i'll check the ones in flower.

Buckets right before lights on in the flower area are 69F. Tent was 71F

Right after lights out flower area was 71F and tent was 75F

Going to do an overhaul of my ventilation system and put a wye before the carbon filter and main fan and branch it off so the reflector pumps hot air outside this weekend.

Chronic haze has put out a root into the water already at 7 day mark being in bucket. Afghan kush still nothing.

your going to love the smoke on that bubba 76 but be warned she will herm under stress

I think she is hermed already. Funny that you say that about the strain because I thought I saw a sack with some hairs around it, i'll have to do a double check. Well 1 sack, I thought males had two so I thought it was something else. I'll check if its still there. It looked like it had opened and hairs were out of it the other day.

After googling hermie pics, its def. hermied.

Is the pollen already released? Debating if I should chop it down or just say fuck sensimilia and smoke seed herb. I don't want my FCJ to get spermed on though, shes so beautiful.

I don't plan on running it again, leaves were too big, not a good branching plant and as a result of such huge leaves none of the bottom growth got any light. I topped it in flowering a 2nd time and the two tops are tiny, but buds are forming. If pollen hasn't been released i'd chuck it, doesn't seem like a big yielder.

pluck off the hermie balls. if they arnt out of control dont worry to much. ive let hermies go before and got like 1 seed. trainwreck likes to hermie and thats what i was growing. i think the pollen in hermie balls is sometimes bunk and doesnt work. thats just a theory of mine tho

Wasn't outta control at all, I saw one on 1 node and the node on the other side had nothing, the 2 nodes above nothing and the 4 main colas nothing.

I will carefully pluck it off and call it a day, was thinking of doing that when I first noticed it, but wasn't totally sure it was hermied and was afraid of releasing pollen if it was hermied in the process of removal.

Not terribly worried, my first grow so I definitely stressed those plants out like crazy. Oh well...No use crying over hermies, still bud.

I had a spike in temps now I am forced to move my setup. One of my clones may be a lost cause but that's sorta alright. Taking hash hits of Alien O.G. to dull the pain. Knowing that I can run to a collective if all else fails sorta makes this all academic. Its still fun to grow as I caught the problem in my overly warm reservoir before it creamed my other plants. Experience yields knowledge. My seedlings are great atleast. Hope yours is all good.

Yeah they're fine. I hear you on the knowledge. I read a little bit and was like whatever I got to try this to better see what the people are writing about on here.

its really hard to say from those pics but that last shot certainly looks like a male sac on the right hand side. maybe try and get a second opinion before pulling her down though.

On a side note i'm digging the Bubba 76 now, getting frosty quick.

Yeah the bubba76 gets a real nice smell and flavour later on 2. Its nice smoke. I wont grow it again though.

Hey man, looking great! Sorry I haven't visited in a while, but I just finished up my grow and have been super busy the last week doing clean up and final trimming. I've been slacking on posting pics, I know, but I'll collect all the photos and sort through the ones I need and post em on here to show off and maybe pick up some advice for my next grow. I know I've learned a lot along the way from watching your thread and others like it. I should have definitely done a grow journal.. there's always next time i guess. Anyways, keep it up man.. I have confidence you will be pleased with your final product.
