First ever closet grow with CFLs

This is my first time ever trying to grow a plant and i want to share this journey with you all if you would like to come along.I picked up a Skywalker clone from my local clinic and transplanted it into some miracle grow potting soil on 5/9/2010.I have it under 4 27watt CFLs that put out 1700 lumines each as well as 5000k have 3 hanging and one side light.I have a small fan that blows down on the lights and plant.I have them on a 18/6 lighting cycle and water only when needed but do spray with water bottle very morning.I hope that all of this is the right things to do and if not any help or advice comments whatever will be appreciated.I am going to try and upload some pics of my baby they arent the best but all i got is my phone for pics.Hope you all enjoy my journey and i will be updating at least once a week more as i feel i....looking for any advice or comments on what im doing right or wrong

I have heard bad things about using MG potting mix, but I used it once just because I had some laying around and was curious, and the one clone I started in it did fine. You might find you get faster growth if you get some sort of backing on those lights to bounce some of that light toward the plant. Anything flat white would be ideal. It doesn't even have to have a parabolic shape to it...it could be a flat piece of white cardboard, but ANYTHING is better than letting the light go stray. How tall is the plant now, and how long has it been in the dirt?

Looks nice and healthy. The leaves have a pretty shape to them. I'm sure that will be a nice looking plant.

UPDATE:So i got the day off work and thought id share some new pics....also i could use some advice i dont have the funds or resources to build a grow box so im using a corner of my closet....the problem is i live at my father in laws house and if he finds it he will flip out....i would like to keep this plant small so could use some advice on topping my plant pros cons or a thread that has this i cant seem to find one....anyway here are some new pics of my skywalker cloned i got on 5/8/2010 and planted in pot on 5/9/2010 as always comments or advice are always welcome

check out this thread. CD built a grow box for like $10 out of a cardboard box from Uhaul and its working out great for him.

UPDATE:Ok so here goes a update on my little attempt at growing.....well there has been 46 views of this journal with only 2 replies that arent me i would really like to hear what you all think about what i got going on any comments advice whatever.....Anyway so she has been in the soil for 2 weeks now and i can see new growth daily my cat got into the closet and ate one of the leaves and i also cut off some of the top and she is recovering nicely from that....Looking on any advice about how long i should VEG.for before i switch to 12/12 and 2600k lights....here goes a few new pics

Depends how big or small you want them.. If you have lack of space I would start flowering soon before they get bigger than about 1 ft.. The longer you veg the bigger they will be once flowered. MJ will double or tripe it's size during the entire flowering cycle so bear that in mind..

UPDATE:Not that anybody is looking at this but here goes another update on my Skywaler clones that have been in the dirt since 5/9/2010.....I have just been letting her do what she does and adding water when needed and misting her at night with a spray bottle....i have been able to see growth daily and the topping that i did has led to at least one new top and possibly more here goes some new pics and i will begin flowering on 6/6/2010 any and all feedback is welcomed come on people leave a message
