The weather has changed here in Cali, cooler temps and a whole lotta wind..seasons are changing. The girls seem to be responding great. I really noticed they have begun to take off with new growth. I noticed yellowing of the leaves in the areas witch I assume might potentially be bud sites. Is this normal or could it be a deficiency of some sort  Let me know what ya guys think I have been not using any blooming nutes just organic unsulphured molasses every other feeding, even though they are in the early stages of flowering. Im happy with this progress of my first grow and am happy with the size for all organic compost being the only think fueling these girls through veg:mrgreen: Any tips or comments are greatly appreciated.

Your plants look great, looks like you have little pre-flowers forming there be prepared for some explosive growth soon! I did not really see the yellowing you were talking about they look pretty healthy from what i can see in the pics.

do NOT not move them!!! you can pinch and twist the stems, working them 'til they crack and droop, if there's a cracking noise, that's the cambium...thats o.k. just do not break the ring of 'mini hoses'(vascular system). try it on a lower branch first.if it looks like you broke it, relax...it will heal stronger ; but most importantly, you can totally manipulate WHERE it grows. I have a n.l./haze that is 30" tall, and the size of a dinner table. this allows sun to the center of the plant. it ends up lookin' a bit scroggy! and all the buds think they're the kona!

So I haven't updated on my grow in over a month I am suprised to say the least with the progress of my two ladies. Both girls have exceeded my expectations for my first grow. I consider myself fortunate for the minimal effort/investment put into this organic grow and the outcome. I do have more then one concern about the girls finishing on time so I needed to consult my riu friends for some advice. Will these pure sativa's finish in time before its gets frosty? I am almost sure they are in a little over 3 weeks of flowering and I figure in the northern california foothills I have until mid november to let these girls bud up. Also height has become an issue so I might have to tie the top down. Will this effect the cola development? Anyways this is getting long so just let me know what you all think any I would be stoked on any advice. Thanks :-P

Yay!! And over the fence they go thanks for the pics. Some sativa strains can take up to 11 weeks to finish flowering but I would plan on 10 weeks so if you can get them through 7 more weeks you should be golden. :peace:

yeah you were exactly right NG they went right over the fence...not a bad thing I guess:-P Does a sativa of this size have potential for a large yield? I was thinking 3-4 oz on the larger plant... I think it all depends on how long i let them flower and if they can reach full maturity. Peace Dude:weed:

Well they pack on most of the weight in the last week and a half of flowering so harvesting early could mean losing up to 50% of your total dry weight. Depends on the sativa strain as far as yield goes. I just harvested my crop of Arjans Haze #1 which is a 80% sativa strain, my first outdoor grow! I will let you know the average weight per plant after it dries.:weed:

I love the sound of that Arjans Haze. I have never seen any greenhouse seed genetics available in any of the bay area dispenseries witch really is unfortunate because I have heard nothing but good things....let me know how the final product turns out NG and Happy Harvest!!!:leaf:

Its been a while since updating my thread I have been busy as hell. I chopped my two ladies at 12 weeks after a two week flush. After a week of hang drying and brown bags my 08 season has come to an end. For my first grow I am fucking stoked:weed:.I spent over 15 hours by myself trimming my two beautiful ladies down and after much anticipation the curing process has begun. Im still buying from my local dispensary as I want to allow my herb cure at least two weeks before I start medicating heavily. Thanks for all who have helped me and I will be back next season.

Made a large batch of 100% sativa butter from trim to tie myself over. I found myself extremely medicated lost in Golden Gate Park for over 7 hours . I have a tolerance for edibles and these were done right:hump: CA patients should question the dosage of edibles in their local dispensaries. Its all about cannabis cornbread and vegetarian chili....Ill post macro pics of my prized nugs after a week cure.
