First Ever Grow.

Hey guys I have recently bought some seeds online. I have no idea as to what strains they are, but they are a mixture, so there should be a few surprises. This is my first grow ever. I have attached a picture to the 12 of 21 seeds that I have already begun germinating, the top 3 are already opening up and I'm getting excited. I'm going to plant them in a little seed starter tray before adding them into the bigger pots I have on standby where I will be adding some fertilizer.



I'm completely new to this but am willing to learn. I was thinking of just sitting the seed tray beside my window or mabye even outside to allow the plants to vegetate. I have a very limited amount of room and have heard of many success stories that include people flowering their plants from seed. I have been germinating 12 due to the fact that many of them could be males. I will probably allow them to vegetate for mabye a week before forcing them to mature and go into flowering. I've thoroughly researched it, but still value other opinions.

Thanks man. They've currently germinated and I have planted them in the seedling trays. I'll be posting pictures once they have sprouted up and out.

I have all my seeds sitting in the seedling tray at the moment under 24/0 light with one CFL for the night and during the day I have it out in the great outdoors. I'm hoping that the sprout will be strong due to the air flow outdoors. Will be posting pictures once they have sprouted. Hoping they will break through within 48 hours ^.^ .

You shouldn't have wasted soo many seeds during ur first grow.......

Waste? How? I thought the best way to learn was to give it a go. I have 9 seeds left and can easily get plenty more if I have major trouble, I will be growing some outdoors and some in my little grow box. I'm all for experimentation.

You're fine since you'll be putting some outdoors. Indoor/outdoor concurrent grows should keep you busy. G/l with the project!

I'm a big fan of figuring it out yourself dude. If you listen to everyone that pops onto your thread, myself included, you could go crazy. Read, go with your gut. Have fun. Smoke weed. Worship satan. Wait.. Well if you want to but you don't have to.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Appreciate it. I'll be updating with pictures and progress soon. As for keeping me busy, it already is I can't stop thinking about them at work . As for satan worship, I think I'll stick to worshipping my plants.

Just got home from work and to my excitement I was greeted by two roots that had penetrated the surface and dove straight back in. I planted them root facing up as the natural curl in the root and the diagrams I have read made much more sense as opposed to placing the root face down, I've attached a picture of the big root (sorry for the bad quality, was in a rush). I have a good good feeling about this one, whether it be male or female I will be getting something from both.

I lied, there are another 3 little roots that look like they hit the sun and went straight back under. I'm extremely happy about these and am hoping for some full sprouts soon.

and so the obsession begins! These little ones just took about 25 percent of your available brain power. Good Luck!

1st bit of advice. Don't know if you lifted your cfl for photo. If your clf is low wattage < 55w get it close to the seedlings it will reduce the main stem stretch.

Shit yes, the light is as close to them where it is not hot. Plus this was just after I moved them to my windowsill. Cheers though.

Quick update guys. There seems to be something wrong with one of my seedlings, one of them is brownish/purple on the first set of leaves that are still growing and it looks as if that they have been decayed in the middle of the leaves and look as if they are about to fall off.
