First ever wardrobe grow.

You could say that yes. Outside it rains from time to time, but opening the door to the garden doesn't do much, it just cools the room down.

Home depot or most hardware stores would likely carry silver reflective duct tape. It may not have the same properties as mylar, but it definitely increases light. You'll probably have to buy a few rolls, but if you don't want to buy a case it is a much cheaper alternative.

So it was the nutrients all along... that, or the humidity. My dosh is on the nutrients, I added them just yesterday.

I feel like Sherlock Holmes who just understood a key part in an investigation and is hitting himself on the head for not realizing it earlier.

Anyway I walked in and saw the plant overall looking MUCH happier. The sixth set of leaves increased a bit in size and the seventh and eight as well. I also feel the plant just somehow "stood up". I added 1ml of Bio Grow yesterday, so in a few day's I'll try my luck with 1,5ml.

Specifically in regards to odor control, how much are you able to detect smell even with filters? I'm looking at setting up a fridge inside of a small ventilated tent in my attic. Don't mean to hijack your thread, thanks!

No problem mate, the more the merrier, maybe someone might come across this thread one day and use the information.

I have honestly never used a carbon filter.. ever. The smell from my PC grow is faint and doesn't bother me... in regards to stealth as well.

If you do everything correctly as in: install a fan that is perfect for your currect setup in terms of cfm ratings AND get a carbon filter that matches the power of the fan (important) and of course you need to maintain negative pressure inside the fridge (super important)... then there is absolutely no way the smell of cannabis will be detected.

Hey man, Carbon filters work great, my last grow was 100 percent inside the house and I had to keep to a strick zerp smell tollerance, so I was on the ball with my carbon filters, I was even using the soap wash rinse bake method to renew carbon and I even had friends from RIU visit my house during flower and they and said they could smell nothing,

Thank you very much Tim. It is a great feeling, let's hope this is the case and the plant starts to pick up. I've lost about a whole months worth of growing and I need her to be ready before the middle of january.

Ok so after a proper inspection I understand why I thought there was little to no change. Vertical growth is back on track, although not a lot, but I can tell you that the new node growth is crazy. The bottom half of the plant is so tight and bushy that I had to cut of two sets of leaves haha, fantastic news, huzzah! The spacing of the upper half is not as compact, but new growth is still pushing its way through with lots of new shoots developing. What do you guys think, any more leaves to cut off?

A few more days and I'll begin to FIM her (don't want to be too intrusive, she's just recovering from a months nightmare) and in the meantime I'll get to constructing a SCroG net (yay!)

Today I'm also going to buy a few more timers, because the Gas Lantern Routine is bizzare as it is, so I've had enough of manually switching the fans/humidifier off.

Been fiddling around a bit with the humidifier. The RH won't go past 30% in my cab now, but I think I may have worked it out. The fans and humidifier have somewhat balanced out the temps and RH, so my guess is that the only way to fix this, would be to get the RH to about 70% during lights off (when the oscillating fan isn't working, got myself an extra timer FINALLY) and then, when the lights, fan and temps start to kick in, the RH will lower to let's say (fingers crossed) 50% which is more than enough for me.

That, or I just somehow get my humidifier to turn on and off every 30mins in the lights off period...

Lights off and the temperature is 17C/62F and the humidity is 59%... well I couldn't ask for more ideal conditions. I set the humidifier to come on every 45mins for 15mins at full power, so I hope that will keep things more or less the same.

The Gas Lantern Routine so far hasn't messed anything up and I'm quite content with the fact, that the lights work every day for 13 hours. We'll see how she responds.

I'm thinking of cutting away all those growth tips at the very bottom... I think it's reffered to as lollipopping? I just think that because of the Scrog net, the lowest growth tips just won't be able to reach up in time, so why not cut them off and encourage the plant to concentrate on the shoots closest to the lights?

thought id come check your thread out I think you answered your own question lol, ive cut the lower growth on my plants before and do get better results, specially if your going to do a scrog then you only need to concentrate on the growth that's through the net the lower growth woint get any light any way...on my plant im growing now that's going to be my 1st attempt at a scrog as well so look forward to seeing how you get on

Thanks for stopping by. and you answered my question to the fullest, so I'm going to go and cut off the very lowest growth. I've done a Scrog once in my PC grow, but I'm looking forward to doing a "big" Scrog.

Scrogs are great, really keeps the plant low. I don't know really, I was thinking of filling the screen at about 75% or something like that and then flipping. I'll still be reading a bit but I plan on installing the screen in a week, just to have eveything ready.

Less is more with the scrog filling

Ok guys so I *may* have figured out a way to keep the temps at canopy level ideal WITHOUT having to take up too much space in my already confined cupboard. I hooked up the PC fans together from the PC box and managed to point them in the direction of the bulb. So far the temps are at 27C and I really hope it won't climb higher.

The oscillating fan was amazing at its job, but the only downside is the size. That bloody thing is small, but in my cupboard everything seems bigger. so I was wondering, how would I be able to fit in a scrog net and manage the canopy at the same with a huge ass fan right in front of me.

I also don't want to spend money on a smaller fan, so I really hope the PC fans will do the trick. If not, then I one more fan lying around, and if three fans won't help, then I'm in shit.

27C isn't that hot is it? My cabinet was running at 95F which is about 35C. I know this isn't ideal, but cannabis typically is grown in very hot climates.

27 is in the "perfect" range, so I'm happy. A lot of people warn about higher temps than 86F, apparently it's bad, but some growers like yourself do fine in those ranges.

But I'm just having trouble (had) with stunted growth, so that's why I'm trying to get everything in the ideal ranges so I can root out the last of the problems.

I've had temps reach 95f a few times and nothing happened. I think they're just guidelines and not laws.
