Ok thinking about picking up two already made DWC buckets, the ones im looking at have drain attachment on side of bucket. Now i know temps of buckets mean alot, with me only doing two will it matter that much? do i have to drain it every 10 days? are the yields really that explosive in dwc? will i see that huge difference with going with just two?

You can make those yourself for pennies on the dollar. But, it's a good start.
With two buckets, you're not going to worry about your rez temps too much unless you have massive overhead lighting or live in a very hot/humid area. Ordinary cooling techniques should work fine (exhausting heat, frozen bottles, etc). Plus, we're entering fall so the weather is becoming favorable to indoor growing.
This depends on your experience. If you have previous soil experience, you're ahead of the curve. Overall, DWC has a speed advantage over soil but experienced soil growers will out-yield new DWC growers.

You don't have to but experience teaches every 7-14 days a reservoir change and clean is a good idea. Using a Zyme-type product could decrease this requirement.

Water temps are vital in DWC not so much other hydro methods like Ebb and Flow but In DWC dont let anyone tell you that having your water over 70 degrees is fine. You need to keep it cool under 70 degrees at all times and you wont have any problems. If cooling your res is out of the question then yes you can still do DWC with warmer water but you have to add beneficial bacteria aka " bennies" dont let anyone say water temps arent important in DWC because they are. Its a easy and fast way to veg out / grow plants just gotta keep that water cool.

I would say as far as temps go yes you SHOULD keep them below 70 but it'll work with warmer water your just setting yourself up for possibly more issue.. with a little bit of luck and a green thumb you'll be good but for the experienced growers who are seeking consistency and less issues keep the temps lower.
IMO build it!!! you'll save $$ and understand how YOUR setup works not some pre fabricated one. Also your rez temps are important but I think you have other things you need to prioritize first like intake/exhaust air temp/fresh air I think is a little more important, and yea you should clean out your rez every week or so.. and the number of plants you have has to do with your style your going with sog/scog/lst, your space, and your light

when you say clean out your rez, you mean all the water out and in with new water and nutes? or just drain a little and top it off with fresh water and nutes? i will be using one 600watt hps cooltube. just trying to out yield my soil grows. Every DWC single plant grow i see, plants are straight trees. will gh flora nova bloom lucas formula work fine for my nute regiment??

yea switch out the water and nutes, like soil your plant is going to use only a certain amount of specific nutes and like soil you can get salt deposits.. Same thing goes with dwc but since your medium is the water and nutes you need to "flush" your system more frequently or the left over nutes will build up in your system making it overkill for your girlys. Dont want to put a damper on your spirits or even say its not possible but your first dwc probably wont match your soil yield until you tweak your system to your needs. Some pics of your setup will prolly help us point out some of the more obvious tweaks
But... what you will notice is the speed of growth will definitely be faster in dwc, what you do with that growth will come with experience until you can concentrate it to bud growth, you obviously have experience with plants so its just like anything else practice makes perfect

If you think soil is cumbersome wait until you are checking your PH and PPM daily and making corrections and adding in several things to keep the environment in the tanks to what they need to be
I plan on switching out to soil after my next grow using RWDC and adding some co2

Spend the $$ and get a 1/10th HP chiller for about $350. If WILL make your life a lot easier in the long run.

Hey John, quick question. I have seen this about the nutes building up when water isn't changed, but won't we know that there is a build up by checking the PPM? I have a mortgage lifter from sunlight sheds, and they say to change the water every 2 weeks. It's kinda a pain in the nads to do every week, is it really necessary? My res is about 40 gallons.

I don't know much about maxibloom, but I feel at this point I should at least chime in with my opinion that if you have already bought those nutrients then go with them your results will be fine. But if you haven't bought anything yet I have to suggest Advanced Nutrients Grow, micro, bloom, voodoo juice, big bud, overdrive, and bud candy. Use those and follow the nutrient chart on their website and you will thank me later. Some people will jump in and say advanced is overpriced, blah blah blah... but believe me it gets the job done right.
Lucas will work in Pro-Mix, Hempy, DWC, Soil and just about anything else you want to use it in. You'll need to use it according to each style though.
Yes... I would use full strength in Hempy, at about 5.8 pH. If your light intensity is not enough your plants will get a dark green.. back off a bit. Just a bit less than a teaspoon or 6.5 grams. Vary it until you can feed every day without them showing they're eating too much.
You'll like hempy better than promix though
