I myself have to give credit where credit is due.. and you my friend deserve some recognition on this grow. Especially for a first timer.. did an excellent job bro. Just make sure you don't dry your harvest out too quickly.. but then again you also don't want to dry it too slowly either.. as this can invite mold.. and drying it too quickly will simply ruin your harvest and the potency of your harvest.. also, when it dries too quickly.. it also locks in that "cur grass' or 'hay' smell into the buds.. which what your smelling is mainly Chlorophyll... which is why your suppose to dry it out slowly but not too slowly.. this way while its drying out slowly.. the moisture actually traps in the Chlorophyll.. and as the moisture evaporates into the air.. it takes the Chlorophyll along with it. ;)

Anyhow, good luck with the drying and curing!!!

peace..

Bro, it would be a honor to meet up and meet the man who created this beautiful forest on his first grow. I am on fairview & adams next to OCC college.

This is my first grow and I am looking for only 2 ounces per plant, and i am now at 13 inches tall, and about a foot tall, they are bushier than i have seen any plant. I have only 18 plants but if i can pull a gram per watt I will be pumped with my 2x1000 watt HPS.

Hit me up, im down to meet up for a beer or lunch sometime. BTW, that Japenese market is cool, was just introduced to it by my japanese girlfriend. Happy growing brotha, great job!

HAHA Thanks. I some what close to Costa Mesa. I'm always out there across the street from the Container Store. We should meet up sometime. I always eat at the Japanese Market there on Bristol I believe. I believe you're gonna have a badass harvest though. I veged mine to 1.5-2 ft and this is what I got. Believe it or not alot of them were in 1 gallons haha. Thanks for the comments. +REP

is it better to do the drying and curing in the dark or does it matter?

what temps need to be for drying and curing?

Bro, listen to the experts... I'm no expert.. but I know my shit and I would highly suggest to you.. that you go and read the basics of growing which will and should include the basics of harvesting drying and curing.

But, since I'm in a good mood.. I'll help you out here.

You should always dry your buds.. in a dark area/room. Light degrades THC levels.. and even keeps CBD from being transferred to THC, therefore leaving you with very very weak buds that won't have hardly any potency at all.. in a nutshell... a ruined harvest.

Humidity levels need to be higher than 40%.. but not more than 60%. Lower than 40% and you'll end up with very very dry air.. which will dry the buds too quickly and that leads to all kinds of problems.. one being that when the buds are dried too fast.. it traps in the Chlorophyll in the buds.. which locks in that "hay" smell that you noobs complain about all the time. Anything above 60% humidity level.. you'll be asking for mold problems.. which will happen. And once it the mold starts.. there's no stopping it.. and it will end up ruining your entire harvest.

Temps should be 55`F (lowest) and no higher than 80`F. Same rules apply to temps.. just like they did with humidity levels. Too hot.. and you invite molds and other bacteria to form and grow on your buds, ruining your harvest.. and too cold.. you could end up drying out the buds too quickly.. and just like too low humidity levels.. too low of a tempature in the drying area.. can and will lead to drying out the buds too quickly.

But again, I would highly suggest that you do some reading. We're not here to hold you people's hands.. and tell you people step by step how to do things. There is alot of good and correct material out there to read.. and it was put there for a reason.. TO READ!!!!

Anyhow, this is why I don't come around here hardly any more.. because we have ignorant people coming around here asking questions that fall into the 'common sense' category.. and if you people would just take the time to do your own research and take the time to read a book or two.. you wouldn't have to come around here asking ignorant questions all the damn time... because you would know the answer already.

But whatever..

I'm out.

peace.

Hard to tell.. But if those were in my grow room I would definetly yield 1.5-3 oz's a plant. 5 Gallons are no joke. =]

really nice grow. what growing medium are u using? ive got some blackberry, LSD, Pineapple Chunk, and Rocklock growing hydro at the moment. We plan to flower at 18 inches but we're thinkin of doing more of a lollipop to harvest like 8-10 plants at a time. We'll probably end up just having the top 3rd of 4th left to harvest. Harvesting 8 plants that way, what can you expect for my yield if everything goes smoothly?

You know that the limit was taken out a couple of months ago right? Now it's defined as a reasonable amount
