First grow. Just wanted some feedback. Big Bud Feminised. 7 plants, all female. Is each bud area I can easily spot on the top considered a good top. I have a few taller areas on the plants I moved on the outside that have the obvious colas.

Only thing I was thinking about is that maybe I should trim the big fan leaves. You can see how it is looking. There seems to be a raging debate on to trim or not trim. Or maybe it s over remove or not remove.

Coming along nicely, tuck and bend!, I would not cut anything off, the leaves provide buds with food to grow! Just move the ones in question to the side

I'm growing the exact thung you are and our plants are on similar paths . at 2 weeks i trimmed a few yellowing and green fans from the bottom up to 6 in up the stalk school 4 to 8 leaves on each along with the small bud sites . I'm now on week 3 (just started ) and in 1 week after cut i have 5.5 inches of growth and my colas filled out . but in place of the missing vegitation i put a fan blowing under the plants and have seen nothing but positive results . keep on minh big bid is an indica and gets bushy as fuck . my light meter read no light pen that low down thatd why i did it and the fresh air more then made up for it . id say go for it but its up to you .

I was reading on the thread that was a raging debate on to cut or not to cut and someone mentioned harvesting the top parts when ready and then letting the bottom once clear do its thing for a few more weeks before harvesting. That sounded like a great idea so I might try that. For this strain and how it looks, with 7 females, what do you the the yield might be?

Not sure if that will work. I am also going to try cutting it in half to let the bottom buds grow a bit longer. Sounds like a great idea.

But I really think you DO NOT want to trim your fan leaves. I just did that about a week ago (I am about 2.5 weeks into flowering) and I saw my bud growth slow down immediately. Since doing this I have done some research and learned that the fan leaves are what supply light to the bud, and the bud does not collect any light by itself. So all those fan leaves are really important! Hope this helps and doesn't sound preachy!

No I appreciate the input. I forgot what thread it was or I would post a link to it, but man people are very opinionated about weather to cut or not. I am just tucking the fan leaves out of the way and tying them down to the rubberbands at the base of the pots.

Thanks!

Looking at the pics and basing 7 plants under a 400 watt HPS... does anyone have an estimate on yield. I know I have to wait, but the suspense is killing me. It's big bud... I hope it is what the name implies!
