First grow 240 watts of cfl

This is my first attempt of growing. I started flowering 2 weeks ago , after 3 weeks of veg. The box I made is pretty ghetto , but seems to be working. It is 3ft tall 3 ft wide and 14inches deep. Covered the inside in mylar (rather hastily and it shows).

My current lights are 6 x 26watt cfl and 2 x 42 watt cfl , all 2700k.

It seems to be coming along pretty well , I also tried a noob attempt at tying it down to grow more horizontal.

Any opinions/tips would be great , as I am just reading all I can on here and making my first attempt at growing.

plants look pretty good for your first grow. and i think everyone's first grow box is a little ghetto. not bad for your first time tho. only suggestion i have for your next grow is try to keep the plants closer to the light so they don't stretch as much.

Did you use that 2700k spectrum for vegetative growth too or did you switch the bulbs when you started to flower?

I switched from daylight spectrums , after 24 hours of dark. Been trying to keep the lights close but its been stretching like this ever since the switch.
Thanks for your input

how many do you have and did they show gender yet? also are you giving them any nutrients?
Just have the one, definite female hairs everywhere. Started with three , the males showed themselves within a week.

I had given her diluted rapid-gro while in veg , now giving tiger bloom at around half strength every other feeding. Thinking about
bumping it up to full strength on the tiger bloom this week.

Wondering if anyone knows if its too late to snip some of the smaller buds. There are around 17 total bud sites , a few of them are small and I cant really see much coming out of them. Will it hurt to snip these a little over 2 weeks into flowering?

No it wont hurt it, itll be worth it, I literally just snipped like 10 or 15 tiny sites of one of my white widows like 5 minutes ago.Its 1 month in flowering. I read a lot that says it better for your yeild to lose all the small popcorn sites, and I think its ok to trim Almost through out the whole grow cycle from my experience, just not go overboard with it, it might slow the growth for 1 day but thats it.

awesome thanks for the help, now just racking my brain trying to figure out which ones.

I think one of my first mistakes was not topping during the veg cycle. Any ideas/guidelines on what size or what areas to start?

Added a few more pics , so people can see more of whats goin on. I tie her down and in less than an hour she's worked herself back upright. Hopefully this stretching will slow and she'll start adding some density to her buds. I cant get the lights much closer.

Leaves near the buds today were a little droopy , gave her 1/2 water 1/2 nutes, hopefully that takes care of it.
Any one else ever had this problem? All other leaves seem fine , just the ones nearest the buds look a little tired.
