It's curing now....

It has a bizarre smell.... it smells like.... I don't even know how to describe it! Fruity, with a pungent, harsh smell with it...kind of skunky, kind of like something fermenting... lol

It's good, just weird! Unlike anything else I've smoked!

Not to beat a dead horse but in all my many years of growing I have not found anything quite as successful as using a rockwool cube soaked in clear clean H20 and PH adjusted to 6.5...whats so nice about this technique is that you can peal back the rockwool to see the seed and watch it germinate and if it does take hold you can just plant the whole thing in soil co-co whatever with zero trans shock -- also rockwool is such a nice bland base to work from you never have to worry about too much nutes (which soil due to the fact it's not totally homogenized can have "hot spots" of too much of something) and one thing I have found by doing some germination studies using a very old seed sample that were over 10 years old and pretty much a total failure when it came to germination-- is that using a mild acid wash and soak (IE PH 6.2 - 6.6) was able to get even some of those seeds to pop -- one caution - is while rockwool is totally neutral and works great for germination it has absolutly no nutrients at all so I have noticed that some of the sprouts look a little yellow - whitish due to not having any nitrogen to feast on - easily solved by a watering using FUD ( FUD is a 5 to 10 % nute solution which is safe to use on seedlings and everyday for thristy plants) once again have to thank the folks on this board becasue I stole everything from the brains here! (BTW I tested over 2,000 seeds using this method so the results were statiscally significant) .. cheers hope this helps!

My first two grows (and one where I helped) I used the paper towel but I did some reading and my current grow/future I'll just soak for 12-24 hours then plant directly in soil, less risk of transplant complications or stress.

But whatever works I've had good germination rates both ways

Not bad, I'm hoping to get that when I harvest my first Blackstar grow.
