Haha I have been stressing the whole time its kinda hard not too. Im guessing all first time growers freak out a bit lol but from what everyone on here is saying that im doing good makes it a lot better!!

LOL. Pretty sure everyone goes through it. It's your babies! The TLC goes a long way.

Peeps would let you know if it was sad, haha.

When they're at this point, you can pretty much breath a sigh of relief... Anything that could go wrong would have already gone wrong...

Unless you do something dramatic like cut off all their water for 2 weeks, or get a MASSIVE mite infestation. You're pretty much all set, just wait wait wait.. when you think you're ready to harvest, give it another few days just to make sure you see no new growth. You can tell when they're getting done, they stop taking in nutrients and water.

The other thing, as well, the buds will look HUGE when they're done, but, it's so disappointing that 2/3rds or more is water weight... =(

I am always like YEH! I got almost 2 1/2 lbs! and it dries down to 8 zips or so...

Excellent first grow, dude....Congrats! They fatten up the most in the last few weeks (wks 5-8 or so on 10 wk flowers for example) when the plant knows it's coming to it's end. Those pistils still look pretty white so, they still got some growing to do. Keep us posted!

Week 6 update pics!! let me know

Best way is by checking trichomes and it's somewhat personal preference. You'll need a little pocket microscope..like 60 X's power. Depending on what smoke you prefer, you'll harvest when you have the right percentage of amber/cloudy trichs. There's a good thread on RIU about it. For me it usually works out that when around 90-95% of pistils are red and the plant is almost all yellowed out...I harvest. But, some plants are slightly different in their aging.

I have a microscope already ill have to read more on when to harvest. Then i have to figure out how i am going to dry and cure. I have ready a lot of different ways but not sure what route i want to go. What is your drying and curing process?

I trim (not fully, just the big foliage) and hang in a dark closet. Leaving some leaves makes a slower dry. I keep a fan on low speed in there (pointing AWAY from the flowers) for circulation. The size of the flowers determines how long I hang for..3-5 days is an avg. When the stems are dry enough to make a snap but not completely splinter off..I put the nugs in jars with a hygrometer. Monitor and see what the humidity is in the jar. If it rises quickly (like a percent an hour or more) I open and let the buds dry some more. Once the humidity is locked between 55-60% I keep the jars shut in a dark place to cure. My room is about 72 degrees, with 52% humidity. I taste test at two weeks but I do a one month cure. If I got the time I'll do 2 months. A lot of people have diff tips and tricks but, this works for me. Oh, and, if you let them get too dry like below 50-55%, the curing process won't happen so you want to keep an eye on them day to day, when you hang.
