First grow. 4 weeks veg. Pics. Feedback? Opinions?

Hello all,

I've been reading the threads on the forums here for the past few months. Then I registered, and read more. Then I decided to give growing a try. Now a first-time post.

I'm a total newb at growing anything. I started my first grow in a tent 4 weeks ago from feminized seeds.
I have two WW and one Black Jack (some kind of dutch blueberry strain). Again forgive any slang or misused verbiage. I'm new at this.

I definitely realized I've made a few mistakes this first time and am always taking notes. I actually started 4 plants but.... well... that was a hard lesson learned. Enough said. ;-)

I was hoping the community could provide some feedback as to how my three girls look so far. Really, you guys make it look easy and get great results. How do these look? Am I all screwed up here? They pale in comparisons to others I've seen around here at 4 weeks.

A little about my setup:
2x4 tent
4' 8 tube Quantum T5 (6500 veg 18/6, 3000 flower)
2' 4 tube hydro farm T5 (same)
130w Xtreme LED (no opinion yet)
70 - 80 temp
50% humidity
Jacks classic nutrients for veg and bloom. Water every 5 - 7 days.
FFOF soil.

I have what I have gear wise. I have to run with it and see what happens. Definitely have learned a lot so far. I should have kept it more simple and a little cheaper. Live and learn.

Thanks for any feedback and suggestions.

hey man, im brand new to this as well but they are looking nice too me! A nice deep green color is a good thing, do you have holes in those pots or any way for oxygen to get to your roots? sounds like a legit set up you've got and a few sturdy looking plants. Id keep doing what you're doing and maybe think about transplanting them to some 3-5 gallon pots with holes in the bottom, also buy some pearl stones to put under the soil. Thatll help with draining out the water and keeping the soil humid. I'm only a week into my grow but check it out!

Okay, with the setup you have your plants look good. The reaosn yours pale in comparison size wise is because of your lighting. And is your soil loose enough to promote root growth? it looks rather compact.

Bro, they look great. I just started growing as well and mine look about the size of yours. I'm using cfls and basically rigged my setup from local stores. When you gonna start flowering?

Check my thread out and compare.

Not really sure. How long can I let them veg and grow? My tent is 6' tall so I was thinking three feet from the top of the bucket? Is letting the plant veg for three months some crazy idea?

Ideally I'd like to move over too HID lighting. Even though I don't know much at this point, using all florescent lighting felt okay for getting them started and into a 5 gal. pot but doesn't *feel anything like the sun*. I did have the advantage of seeing a setup using HID lighting and that DID feel like the sun. Not in terms of heat but just more *real*

I'm enjoying the whole experience so far. The mistakes have been a little costly but then probably won't happen again...

Yeah I just replied to another post that florescent seemed okay for getting the plants started but didn't feel quite right.
What are the downsides to my current lighting? Marginally longer time for the plant to mature in veg? Mature in flower?

Sorry for the double here abrownmn. I don't have any gravel in the bottom of the buckets. While I didn't compact the soil on purpose I suppose it could be a little dense. Can I re-plant them? Like maybe plant one in a temporary pot, remake it's home with gravel and lose soil. Then repeat process for the other two?
