That's funny cause I just popped two seeds in paper towels and had planned on potting them in soil. I've spent way too much money not to use my hydro equipment though. I think I'm going to do both, soil for results and hydro to get the experiance. From researching and the advice I got here and the hydro store I'm thinking my problem was both root rot and gnats. Not much more I can do for them, it's all up to the pot fairy now.
