First Grow A dvice

Hi Guys,

This will be my first autoflower grow and was looking for some help on what to do.

I currently have 2 4x4 tents. a 600w HPS, Mars Hydro Pro II Epistar 160 800w. And was even considering to buy a 1000w light either LED or HPS in order to get that dispensary structure and trichome coverage on the buds (would this be worth it).

I have 5 Seedstockers Blackberry Gum auto and 4 Dutch Passion Auto Critical Orange Punch. I Also have 1 Authentic Connected Cookies Gelato photoperiod.

My aim here is quickest turn over time possible with a constant steady supply.

I was thinking to do a SOG of 9xautos in one tent (what size pots should i consider) and then plant the gelato in the other tent and grow the mother and development clones.

Then once the autos have hopefully be harvested i can move the gelato clones into the other tent to flower and by that time they should have vegged long enough and should be quite large in order to maximize yield. Then just have a constant cycle of clones going into flower.

Does anyone have any advice on this plan or and tweaks to improve it?

I like the idea of having a mother plant that you get clones from. I think you might want a little more diversity in your clone strains. I would keep the Mars hydro in the veg tent. Possibly upgrade your flower light if you can to either cobs or hps. With a mix of autos and photos in your veg tent and you consistently putting clones in your flower tent you will be harvesting a lot

In a 4x4, 9 to 12 3 gal depending on how big the strains are quoted as getting.

Yeah i think your right im going to keep the mars hydro for the mothes and run the hps in the flower tent, would i be better off getting a 1000w hps as oppose to a 1000w LED as im still not convinced on LED lights. Other then the Gelaot i was also looking at getting another PP strain to keep as a mother to clone.

A 1000w LED usually doesn’t actually draw 1000w. In my opinion 1000w hps is better than most LEDs except for cobs. I use a 600w cob that outperforms my 1000w hps in quality but not yield

Ill have a look at these cob LED. What do you mean by the COB outperforms the HPS in quality but not yield?

Hps has a slight orange color to it, good for growing bigger dense buds. You can customize your cob setup and choose multiple spectrums that serve different purpose to your plant. I experience unique genetic expressions while using cobs, increased terpene percentages and better, more efficient light coverage. Not hating on Hps at all just saying what I experienced. If you are going for yield choose hps

That is fascinating i never knew that. I may just grab another 600w hps and run two of them together in the autoflower/flower tent.

Any idea how many 50l bags of soil ill need yo fill 9x3 gal pots and a 5 litre pot im going to use for my mother plant?
