First Grow...advice appreciated...schwag seeds under 400w hps

1st pics is the small plant (dont know gender yet) smaller because of smaller pot size.
2nd, 3rd and 5th pic is the male right before I killed it.
4th and bottom pic are the big heavily lst'd plant (showed me its a girl this morning)

Question for anyone who might know.

So one plant is for sure a female...but the other plant looks like a male at one node and a female at another, is it possible to have a hermie as soon as it starts preflowering? Anyone seen this before?

Well I found that the last sexless plant is a male also... so Im only left with one female. And this week i recieved my tent, inline fan, booster fan and speed controller from Greners(plus some freebies they threw in) so I'm just going to kill the famale and start a new thread with my easy ryders next week if anyone is interesed in following.

DSC01476.jpgDSC01475.jpgDSC01477.jpgDSC01474.jpgWell the female took off in its growth and looks amazing to me so I haven't killed it yet. I think im going to let it finfish and see how my first grow will actually end up. I just wanted to ask how I am doing so far from some of you experts out there. It has been 8 weeks from seeds today, in 12/12 for 4 weeks 2 days, and has been flowering for 2 weeks 3 days.

Does this look like a plant should at this stage? How does everone think im doin so far? I've been feeding it every other watering, and it gets watered every 2-3 days depending on the weight of the container.

Also am i right in my assumption that this is a very sativa dominate plant? It keeps growing taller and taller and im running out of room. It grows about 1/2"-1" each day. Today it is 27" tall (even with all the lst I did in the beginning) and the top is 10" away from the light. Time to start tying it down again?

Fukk man sry to hear about those males ... same shit happend to me 4 plants ended up with 1 female fuckin shit!! ill be watching this grow its looking real good so far man keep it up...:)

Thanks teggs. Ya i was bummed about the males but am surprised how much space this one plant has taken up and dont know how I would have fit anymore in the tent anyways.

Well i tied the plant down a little bit more today. It was only 8" away from the light when I woke up this morning, and now it is 15" away.

Does the plant look like a sativa to everyone else? And if so does that mean that it will continue to grow almost an inch everyday all through flowering?

DSC01478.jpgDSC01481.jpgDSC01483.jpgDSC01484.jpgDSC01482.jpgWell its been a week since the last pictures were taken so heres an update. I really dont see much difference in the plant in terms of bud production but it has gotten a couple inches taller.

In addition to the other question I've asked that I haven't gotten answers to....

Is there a possibilty that this plant is going to get root bound and have a small yield? It's only in a 2 gal bucket as I wasn't thinking it would get this big at all. I am now having to water every 2 days as the plant drinks everyting so fast.

Also I included a pic of my new setup.

DSC01500.jpgDSC01499.jpgDSC01494.jpgDSC01496.jpgDSC01495.jpgIt is now 5 weeks and 5 days of 12/12. a couple of the buds have started getting a little fatter but some have not but the plant keeps growing taller. I had to tie it down again! Here's the new pics from this morning.

Don't know if anyone will ever answer my questions on here but I have a couple more.

Do I need to clean up all the growth at the bottom? like all the little branches and buds at the very bottom that aren't getting much light or do I leave them?

Also my biggest concern right now is the 2 gallon pot it is in. Can I replant or is too late into flowering?

There is also no trichs developing on the buds yet...is it just bad genetics?

And how much longer should I have till this plant is done?

i would say just wait it out some and see what happens. you still 3-4 weeks of potential left, in other words just be patient.

A two gallon Planter (pot) is far too small for a plant of that magnitude. The average grower will find that they must repot usually every 2 weeks while in the veg cycle. Going from a 1-1.5 gallon to a 2-3 gallon in the third/fourth week of the veg cycle. From a 2-3 gallon pot to a 4-5 gallon in the 5-6 week of the veg cycle. Note it is always best to repot 1-2 weeks before you flip your lights to the 12/12 flowering cycle and to let your plants finish off in that last transplanted pot size.
A good rule of thumb is 12" of height/per gallon and to double the size of your existing pot on transplanting.

So you kind of missed the train on this one. But this is a PRACTICE run... remember... I would not go into flowering with smaller than a five gallon pot....personally.

Haven't been on here in awhile but figured I'd check up on it tonight. I'll post some pics tomorrow of how the plant is coming along. It is now 10 weeks into flowering and has finally stopped its vertical growth. The buds have really started to fatten up but the trichs are still completely clear. I have learned so much this grow, I'm really glad I decided to do a practice before I used up some quality beans. The plant was looking great till a few weeks ago when I noticed lots of rust color on the leaves and leaves turning yellow and dying. I guess i learned a lesson about watching my Ph. My PH was 5!!! So I went and picked up some Ph up and fixed that problem real quick. Now I check my Ph every time I water, both my water-nute mix and the run off. There is lesson number 1 but I also learned that I need to use the proper size planter. I have to water every 2 days which is annoying and i can tell that she could have gotten alot bigger if she wasn't so root bound. So that being said I still think that the girl has a few more weeks to go and that sucks because I need to make room for the autoflowers I started 2 weeks ago in party cups. I'll be starting a new grow journal for those tomorrow also if anyone wants to follow.

here the updated pics. just wish I knew how long till tDSC01553.jpgDSC01551.jpgDSC01550.jpgDSC01555.jpgDSC01552.jpgDSC01557.jpgDSC01554.jpgDSC01556.jpghis plant would be done its taking forever for the buds to fill out.
