First grow, advice welcomed!

So this heat problem I've read so much about due to big hid's is more true than I could have ever imagined. Wow. It was 50 degrees or so last night outside and I had the windows open in the grow room. Fans everywhere..the tent managed to drop to a whopping 82!!! This makes me very nervous. Any advice anyone? Sounds like I have no choice but to buy an AC. I was really hoping to be able to put it off until spring..probly my only choice eh? The tent has great air flow and is maintaining a 60-65% humidity level. My fear is if it only drops to 82 while 50 degree air is surrounding it (with ALL vents wide open) , what's the summer going to bring!!?? I have 250cfm fan before and after the light. The lights air comes from outside. Also have a 250cfm exhaust, maybe add another 250 at the end of the exhaust duct? Any advice is appreciated, thanks guys. Il throw some pics up when I get home.

I would try larger INLINE fans for 1000watts
I'm currently using 2 440cfm fans for 800watts and I had to run AC aswell. Make sure you vent the hot air out a window or into a different room.
Your tent looks really good right now.

Thanks a lot bud! You use 2 440's for exhaust? Or for the lights? And yea my grow is in the attic so I ran the exhaust to the eve and made a dump there. Exhaust for both tents and both lights dump in the same spot. Thanks for the advice man, much appreciated.

Should have noted the "eve" is closed off. Attic is "finished".

This thread was all about fans and filter venting.

They are both 6inch Fans both are outside my tent one is hooked up to exhaust the other fan is on the floor pulling my AC into the 4x4 tent.
I would use 250cfm on the 4x4 only and get the best fans you can for you large tent.

Just to specify, I have a 4x4 clone room, and 2 tents (same size 6.5x6.5x6.5). Each have 1k's. An Mh and an hps. Is your AC ducted to the fan? Or just pulls the overall cool air through the vents? Sorry for all the questions jut sounds like I finally found someone w some damn answers! Hah

I use a 6x12 vent hood and a portable ac unit. The hood is right in front of the ac vents temps can go way down to 62 degrees so I have a thermostat controller turning off and on the ac to maintain a perfect temp. I let the garage do all the work I just check everything daily.Now I'm actually heating the tent during lights off.

Run your filter to the light then to inline fans put as much power on the exhaust as you can.

Sounds like you have a rather large setup what I have done to just my 4x4 may have to be upscaled to maintain your two large tents and 2kwatts. If you have six inch set up now run each tent filter- light-fan get them to meet close togother out side of tent then buy a large 8 inch fan and a y-pipe into 8 inch to 6 inch reducer and vent this main line as one exhaust powered by 3 fans. Then do 2 440 cfm fans as intakes
You definitely want temps around 75-77.

Last night I was cleaning up around the grow area. I've been doing so much work everyday and seem to never have the time to pick up and clean.

While cleaning last night I was emptying out some old solo cups from when I started seeds a month n half ago or so..when dumping them out I found a one inch tall 8-ball kush seedling that had poked up to say hello!!! It's been sitting in dry as sand soil and pitch black darkness for over a month. Crazy stuff rite!? It's stil green but I am not totally convinced that it's still alive. Time shall tell! Either way I thot it was pretty neat!

Il have some day 19 pics later tonight around 7 or so w the skunk#1, jack, and the 8-ball.

As always happy growing green thumb nation!!

Never did mention this is a great idea, I've sense figured it out and also have a thermostat switch for my AC maintaining the perfect temp/RH levels. The AC/fan combo is on a timer that coordinates with the lights. The humidifier is on a timer of it's own running a half hour/off a half hour for the duration of the light cycle. This schedule seems to be the PERFECT arrangement.

I also opened the back of the hood and put a filter on it, ran the exhaust and fan exhaust through the wall to a closed off and vented area. I am in the process of tying all three lines into a y and 8" dump line to vent directly outside. Thanks for your time and input you helped me discover the rite set up for me and I really appreciate it! Stay up!!

Umm...has anyone ever seen this before? Another plant sprouted underneath the 8-ball?? Haha not too sure it's cannabis but seems odd to me!? I pruned it a week or so ago I wonder if it rooted somehow?? Confused.
