I always hated starting clones from rock wool in hydro balls like that because too high and you drown them and too low and you see what happens. Your plants didn't have the root mass yet to handle the light and they are shocked. They will recover though. I prefer to use aero-cloner type clones with bare roots that can reach the bottom of the pots before transplanting them into dwc. drip feeders the first week or so is also an option. As somebody said above hand watering is also an option.
Update on these girls anything I could be doing better?

Looks like it hasn't rooted to me. I've seen a clone that didn't really root look like that but idk
They are showing good roots so far??? They are looking sad though

Now if they’ve rooted they should be fine but early in thread a dome would’ve done you well imo

They look good it’s how I set up my system when I first did rdwc. I make sure there’s air between the roots and the water.
