First grow, bagseed under 2 150w HPS

So a few weeks ago I decided to give growing a try. Germinated plenty of seeds, stuck with the ones that took. Started off a bit rough but now I've got my girls in FFOF under two 150w HPS lamps. Just started them on grow big and got a little circulation going on in the room. I also have a few new sprouts (one Kush, the other some other bagseed). Let me know what you think so far. I'll post an update every Wednesday.

*I'll be putting mylar up on all the walls and will be getting a few cfl's in the near future.

Nice to hear, I'll update with pics on Wednesday. The sprouts didn't quite make it, but I was given a free little plant from someone who wasn't taking good enough care of it, so I'm gonna see if I can't nurse it back to health. All the other plants are happy as hell, gonna see if I can't get some cfl's going this week

So, I've been looking at my preflowers and I've got to say I can't do it without a smile.

The sick plant I was given can now stand straight on it's own, so I'm confident it'll survive, I'll post a pic of the poor thing for now.

Well it's that day of the week again :bigjoint:

Got mylar up on the walls and my girls (seems to be quite a few of em) are looking quite happy. My sick plant is looking a lot better than when it got here. Enjoy the pics, I'm working on cfl's next.

I put a pic or two up for a bit of a "before and after" contrast.

Feel free to leave some feedback

It's definitely coming along a lot better, as far as flowering is concerned, unless i come up with another grow set up I'd wait until the new plant is about 20 inches. Could be a bit but I may put together another spot and place my runt and the new plant in it so I can flower my strong growers earlier.

Sounds good to me, survival of the fittest is nature ;). Make another small grow area for the "other" plants like you said and keep it for seedlings/clones later on (or if you were me, breeding/pollination :blsmoke:).

I think I'm gonna flower in two weeks, they're really starting to stink =P The heat spiked a bit today so I think I may add another fan or two. Potted all of my plants with a bit more soil, only b/c I hadn't put enough soil in each to begin with. Another week or two under 300w, with some circulation, some grow big, and some mylar and I think they'll be ready to flower. I'll keep you guys posted, I'm gonna start posting updates twice a week

Well, as grew bored this morning, watchin cartoons and token a bit, I picked up my camera a decided to post a little update, here goes:

Plants are looking very strong and about ready to go into flowering. I'm going to flower in a little less than two weeks now and I'm confident that I won't be disappointed.

Lately I've rectified a small heat issue with just another, slightly larger fan. Since I added a little more soil to recover some of the early stretching issues, they've seemed to be even happier. We've been giving the nutes on the regular now only because the plants seem to be drinking it up. I changed the lights for 18/6 to 16/8 last week to ease them into flowering and in an effort to keep them at a manageable size. My biggest girl is about 22" and is quite the mean grower.

My runt has shown improvement over the last few days, so I expect it to be ready for flower just as soon as the rest.

As for the formally sick one, although it's growing a bit stronger now, I'm not quite sure what were going to do with it. Might donate it to a friend or we might build a small cfl set up for it. I'm in favor for the latter but still don't know what'll happen.

The pictures are to show growth from a few different angles, as well as a shot of the sick plant's progress, I'll post again soon.

I was browsing among my plants today and noticed at thing or two. The runt and the recovering plant look much better since the other day. The recovering plant seems to be responding well to the nutes and really seems to be somewhat of a growth pattern. I let the runt dry out just a bit longer than the rest of the plants before I watered it. That appears to have promote some growth from it, so I think I'll be able to flower it with the rest without running into any problems.

We had one of our smaller fans take a nose dive onto one of my ladies =/ Shes absolutely fine, I have that fan nailed to the wall now (a little ingenuity, mostly anger), What I noticed is that she recovered very quickly, almost completely at her former position the next morning, left me wondering if there was anything strange about that.

I'll be flowering in just under two weeks now, I've got the lights at 16/8. Is there any advantage to cutting the lights down to 14/10 a week before flowering? Easing them into the flowering cycle at all?

Just another question that's been floating around in my mind, when using Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom in conjunction is it a matter of combining the two or having them on different schedules?

I'll get some pics up on Thursday or Friday

Nah, not really mate, unless the fan blades make contact with the plant. I've seen some pretty rediculous things happen to plants and they seem to come back most of the time, (mind you a little lacking). Glad to hear you didn't have an significant issues :)

I wouldn't bother, if you've changed to 18/6 the switch you've already made is porortional to nature, as our growing season incorporates two changes in light as well.

You can use both simultanuously or individually. I don't use bottled nutrients, but from the people I know that use it they like using a mixture, usually more TB dominant.

I'll get some pics up on Thursday or Friday
Looking forward to it mate :blsmoke: your grow is coming along very nice, I imagine the four remaining girls are loving the extra space. Happy growing and good luck

Looking solid Cheba, you really don't know what those strains are? They look nice, and mostly Sativa to me, I can't wait until flower so we can see some distinct traits that might give us a clue. Keep it up my friend :blsmoke:

The seeds come from some outdoor "headies" a few towns over. Never been indoors, so if it merits a name, I'll give it one

So, they look sativa dominant to you? Wouldn't that mean that overall they'd take a little longer to flower and end up a bit taller? All fine by me, just curious if thats the case

Haven't been able to update in a bit, just not it town. A friend of mine just gave me some Jack Herer seeds from an outdoor batch that came through, so I'm damn excited for the next grow. My biggest is about 3 ft now, we'll be starting flowering in 5 days.
