It's all good. Probably just gonna wait till after I put them into flower then follow the standard schedule, starting em off with a lil bit and increasing it a lil more till its at full strength.

Some pics just before watering/dark cycle, Day 42 Veg:

The top of Plant A that im waiting to poke through before flowering (it's the main cola and I did NOT top this plant... hoping this will be the beast bud of the crop).

Very soon. Pretty much as soon as that main top pops through the screen (3rd set of pics). Just need to make some lighttraps but that just requires some foil tape and about an hour of time... spent too much time today driving around finding the nutes >.> Anyway... within a week, friday max i'll be putting them in the darkness for 24 hours then start the 12/12 cycle. I will then begin feeding them based on the FF nute schedule at 1/4 dose working it up to a full dose, feeding every other watering and working it up 1/4 dose each time. And ya, ive counted somewhere around 30 tops total so far if you include some slightly hidden ones.... This should be interesting. I'm glad I let them veg the extra week, they've really started to blow up.

Looking good man, they blew up as soon as a good rooting system was established. Gona bush out nicely when u put em in flower, well played! Extra veg time really can pay off in flowering. An extra week or 2 makes a big difference.

Thanks. Ya, they were definitely slow bloomers but man did they ever recently take off. I can't wait to get a pic of the stem system after chopping this baby down... it's so twisted and crazy under there but just about impossible to see it all.

Well, finally built some light traps. It's not 100% but i think it'll probably work. It'll at least keep almost all of the light from coming in... just not so great at keeping it from going out. I'm gonna have my dark cycle when im usually asleep anyway so it'll be mostly dark in the room. Pics of this later, so lazy right now

Most of the tops are poking through the scrog now and i had to raise my lights another 1/2" so I think it's time for flowering. Gonna give them one more 19 hour light day then gonna stick them in darkness for 24 hours and let the 12/12 begin! I'll post pics later when i water/before i put them in darkness.

Looking great man! Can't wait to see updated pictures! What are you using for pots and a screen? I've never seen a scrog quite like this before √

The scrog was definitely a last minute DIY project. Had the plant lst'ed up until a week or so ago. I used maxi pots (http://www.discountgrowlights.com/grodanmaxicontainer.aspx) and a screen grid thing that came with a trim to fit filter (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Dupont-20-x-25-Carbon-Air-Filter/16522741) The reason why some of the grid spots are a little bigger than the others is that I didn't plan well and it wasn't an even grid set up so when i increased the grid size to 2x2" grid (the original grid was like 1"x1") i had to leave a few of them bigger (2x3" holes... those are the rectangle ones). I just used the spots where i had previously drilled holes in for lst spots to secure the grid to the top of the pot. I gotta say that I can't really do much underneath the canopy so that might be an issue... I'll see how much stretch the plants get after being put into flower then I might have to do some readjustments.

I was thinking the same thing....it might be a good idea to drill you some holes in the pot in-between the soil and canopy to allow for some airflow. Last thing you want is mold all over your girls!

I was thinking about doing something along those lines for sure. I think I'll probably remove the scrog in a week or so and raise it. I only used like 1/4 of the grid so I can always make more. I'm sure there are a few dead leaves down there that need to be plucked...

If not I'll cut some larger holes in the side so i can water them without soaking all the leaves (and for airflow as mentioned).

Seems like a water pump with a drip line would be a pretty easy way to water. Not sure how hard it would be for you now, but if you installed it while the plant was only a couple of weeks old and had the drip line wrapping around all 4 walls, all you would need to do is plug up your water pump for a minute or 2 until you see Run off, and that's a wrap. √ Sounds like a pretty neat project. √

that would be pretty cool but im trying to keep it real simple and ive just about reached my budget (next time maybe :D). Just did a quick check on the scrog, I think it'll be good for now but I have an idea for a new scrog if not (it'll be fixed in the cab covering both pots... like normal scrogs haha. Only problem is my fan on the inside of the cab for circulation (the lower fan on the left, not the exhaust) gets in the way but Im sure i could figure something out and worst comes to worst I'd just replace that fan with a smaller pc fan. For now I need to catch up on some reading for an exam tomorrow... 4 chapters in one day, nbd - procrastination at it's best.

Quick question about my lighting schedule: Currently im vegging under 19/5 and the lights are off from 5:30-10:30pm. I plan on letting them sit in the dark from 5:30 pm until around 5:30 or so tomorrow but here in lies the problem... I want to have the dark cycle closer to night time (say 10pm - 10 am) but in order to do this i'd have to leave my plants in darkness an extra 17 hours (530 pm tonight until 10 am wed morning) or let them sit in darkness for less than 24 hours (530pm tonight to 10 am tomorrow). Should i let them sit for extra time (30+ hours), less time (17 hours or so), or am i stuck with having the light cycle halfway through the night (530-530)?

NEED TO KNOW ASAP. +rep for a solid answer

i had the same problem but i wanted my day for my girl at night so you can, A. switch it and have the 17 hours of darkness which will stress the plant alittle but will be fine or B. switch it from your current lighting to the new schedule slowly like within a week, this wont stress as much but its more work. i just switched my plant all at once and its fine

I've heard of people letting plants sit in the darkness for 36-48 hours prior to switching to 12/12 so i think I'm just gonna let it chill a little longer in there (letting them sit there in the dark till 10 am wed). My main reason for doing this is that my box is almost completely stealth/lightproof but there is a little bit of a light leak out of the exhausts and if the light were close to that of the natural light this would be a smaller problem (both for stealth and plant health reasons). And i'm just too lazy to slowly adjust the schedule :P

So the babies are sitting in the dark now, as stated above I'm gonna be letting them sit in the darkness until early tuesday morning so that the light cycle will be similar to the normal day light.

Pics... My original plan was to put them into flowering when they filled the pots with green; i think i just about got that down.

Plant A:
44a.jpg44b.jpg

The top that just didn't want to poke through... I have a feeling it'll be popped out by the time i check it next :
44c.jpg44d.jpg

Plants B+C:
44e.jpg44f.jpg

Both Pots (3 plants... i keep forgetting about the double plant...I'll never do this again) :
44g.jpg44h.jpg

Updated pics of cab:

Light trap made out of a beer box...
ca1.jpg

Towel over the sun shield so you can no longer see something "shiny" in the cracks of the doors... also made a much better seal for light all around the doors
ca2.jpg

And a shoebox for the other light trap :D
ca3.jpg

Hope you guys enjoy! Tell me what you think... it'll be a hard next few days not being able to check on the babies.

Hello gingerbuddha, I think ur setup looks almost identical to mine. Im doing little scrogs like you but with Double Gum and Critical Jack. Il get some pictures for you soon so we can compare, mine are just reaching the scrog net aswell and will be flipping 12/12 in a week. The veg for me has been around a month so far. I've topped one and LST'd the others. I'm only gona have 4-5" of space from pot to scrog net.eeek.

sounds good man, would love to see some other ideas. My scrogs are only 3-4" above the soil but I will probably move them up soon.
