First Grow,CFL's With Bagseed--PICS

wait and see hwo it grows, take pictures and get advice, thats how you will learn, you dont have alot of lights on it, so it may grow slower right?

true, I have an 8 pk of lights. There will be 4 CFL's on 3 plants tomorrow. I think Im going to start 12/12 tomorrow. Just to see if I can do It from sprout. Should work. Im not looking for huge yields. Just wanting to get through this grow and get my techniques down so I can grow name brand stuff.

Ya it will work. Check out some of the threads where their doing it. a 3FT tall fully mature plant in 60 days. And the plants and turning out beutifully!

A word of advice for your grow...when your plants are old enough (roughly 3-4 weeks old) you can top your plants and/or LST them to minimize their vertical growth habit. Any questions on how to do this, just check out the link you supplied above ^^^ +rep bro!

Very nice on the pre-flower! I switched mine over to 12/12 today,Just have to update the Grow Journal : )

Im fixing to leave now to maybe try to find a bigger box,but deff. getting some Y sockets and a small fan. Oh and some foil!!

Anyway,Im headed out to wallyworld and lowes to get everything I need but I did switch it to 12/12 and my first "night cycle" is at 12am : )

Ok! UPDATE TIME!!!

Now I have been through so much today..
First off I went to wallyworld and lowes and got some hella good deals.

Now I constructed a box that is 4FT tall,2FT wide and 2FT deep. Out of this board stuff that is white reflective and water proof I found at Lowes. I also got them to cut it for me for free! It was a 4 x 8 Foot. I got them to cut it into (3) 4x2 pieces then (2) 2x2 peices. I duct tape them together drilled a couple holes in the top for the fishing string (30LBS tes) to hang the power strip that has (2) Y sockets in them, There holding (4) 100Watt equevelent CFL's.

I have a Black sheet like triple folded over the front of the box to make a door that can fold back : )

I also transplanted the (3) babies into 8 inch pots (1 gallon I think?) Plenty of room for what I need.
I found a fan at wallyworld on clearence for like 3$, Its not a roatating one,but it has 3 speeds and is energy eff.

So! I got so much work done today,now for the fun part! PICTURES!! : )

Oh! P.s. I may or may not have made a video of me building the box that Im going to put on youtube tomorrow, Ill let yall know after I get some editing through : )

Nice setup, check out my grow journal very ghetto setup with bagseed but it works. Can't wait to see your plant progress and yield.

well if you find that you arent getting much stalk strength, or your plant is stretching to much maybe or not enough, could be because you have not the right light source. Remember red light (2700 K) makes the plant bud and flower, BLue (6700) is for vegetative growing, liek the difference between spring and fall HPS's work because it emits both light spectrums

lol-ur first box was JUST LIKE MINE. no difference watsoever lol. my seeds didnt sprout at 24/7 lighting though...so I'll attempt with various techniques this time. lol! IM SUBBING TO THIS MAN, I WANNA C HOW IT GOES!

And also Ya I left my light on 24 Hours a day until mine sprouted, Then I switched over to 12/12. Today is the first full cycle day on 12/12 : )

Hey DaC...hope you don't mind me following along with your journal...I like your grow chamber alot! Nice budget grow...that's what I like to see. Plants look like they're thriving nicely...Hey, just IMO and my $0.02...I just picked up a coupla 150 watt Cfl's at Target for 8 bucks a clip...soft white 2700 lumens 3300k...nice redder spectrum to blend with your 100 watt cfl's daylight...supports a nice grow/flower spectrum your plants will need in the flowering phase...Keep us posted! I accually looked at wallyworld like yesterday and lowes SERIOUSLY THEY DONT HAVE 150Watt bulbs!!! Well they did in 3 way switches. But I dont have a 3 way on my sockets : /

So I will be paying target a visit very soon. I know you said the entire grow could be done with the 100watt equ. that I have now. But After reading a bit more on your 150watt suggestion. I see that 4 of mine will cut it. But 4 of those for a small amount more in $ I could get 4 of the 150watt and be VERY Set for the whole grow. I might look into the 2700's in my next grow though : )
