Same here man, i actually cut out individual squares, and they cracc'd in 2 days, although i was doin different strains, but its the same thing

Good advice. It's also a good idea to setup the system like you are planning to do a week in advance. Hang a wet towel in there to simulate the plants as well.

I dont like the paper towel method cuz the plants tap root has thousands of tiny hairs that get interwoven with the paper towels fibers, wen u plant the seedlin into soil it rips the tiny root hairs out and that cant be a good start for ur plant. Jus a thought, I would just plant them in compost and wait 5 days.

so many conflicting ideas lol i seen mates put them in soil and leave on warm radiator and they sprouted no bother but loads say put in wet tissue or sponge and leave in warm and dark.

and some say germ in towel or whatever then put in soil taproot down but if u plant it in soil it will grow up anyway i never heard of a plant growing upside down lol so why doesnt everyone grow straight from soil thats how plants grow im confused

also the in a little water in a cup with something blocking the light was said to sprout as quick as 12 to 24 hours sometimes a bit longer

maybe the reason there is so many conflicting ideas is because they all do the exact same job so everyone thinks their way is the best and so i shouldnt worry how to do these things or maybe their is a difference so i should do it a certain way aaaaaaaarrrghghhgh lmao

i think i will just soil an moisten and leave on warm radiator, i seen them done like that with lights over them and they grown fine och i dunno lol

if anyone has actual documentation or thread links with actual fact about the best way to germ seeds let me know please im trying to find factual views but with no luck maybe im not looking in the right places plus the dodgy search aint helping

everyone has their own way on this one i personally go with paper towel in a small container with no light n stick it in near the tent for a bit of heat but everyone will tell you different ppp go with what works for you! as you say natures way just plonking them in soil will work fine, ive even heard of some folks gently filing off part of the seed shell to kick start em. all of the ways you mention work but some take longer .

yes i think i will just plant them like a normal seed with water in soil and under lights for the heat ive seen them done like that before and i know for defo i can do them that way i never actually seen someone germing in tissue and planting taproot down and i dont want to fuck it up lol

you must be carefull not to drown em in compo tho they dont need much moistness to get em going lol.

ups n downs smiles n frowns man, am a bit stressed with moving house and a friend being a dick but ive just had two new 19" tft monitors delivered for work and im gettin a laptop in the next few days so guess shit balances out eh! good luck with your beans man!

I just Registered and Im kinda jumping in the Thread without Reading it All. But +1 For the Paper Towel Method. Ive Germinated over 40 seeds this way with only maybe 4 not rooting. Place seeds a Half Inch Apart between Moist Paper Towels. Put it in a Bag or Any Kind of Container. Leave it a Dark place For about 2 Days...No Longer then a Week, Works For Me. Just my 2 Cents...
