Plant is currently in vegetative stage (5 weeks old) and standing at about 11-12in. It is under a 250w HPS lamp, plenty of air circulation. It is growing in a 5 liter pot & being watered only when it is dry after SWIM sticks their finger in to verify. Along with the water, they are feeding it with a low amount of a high nit fertilizer. Just recently, the leaves have started to droop. SWIM doesn't believe they are over/under watering it. Plus the bottom feels very moist where holes were drilled. Can anyone advise whether this plant looks healthy, or if there are some concerns that need to be immediately address? Any help would greatly be appreciated! Also, is it okay that the roots are showing through the drilled holes? Thanks!!!

you might want to try re potting your plant you might be suffocating it in the small planter. replant give it a few days and see what happens. i bet your problem will correct its self.

How often are you fertilizing? What nutrients are you using? How far from the light source is the plant? Do you monitor pH?
It looks like moisture stress--meaning it is either getting too much water or not enough, causing the droop. How much water do you give when watering? It should be about 1 quart per gallon of soil to avoid giving "shallow" waterings. Make sure the pot is completely dry before watering again. A plant that size in that pot probably goes 3-4 days between waterings. Monitor the plant--if you watered 3 days ago and it starting to droop, water it. If you just watered 20 minutes ago and its drooping, don't water it until it has picked itself up and started to get droopy again.

And WTF is SWIM? Are you referring to yourself in the third person? Is it some abbreviation?
LoL....sorry Jerry, used to posting on other msg boards. SWIM = Someone who isn't me. Many boards similar to this require you to use that instead of referring to oneself. Normally, it is being watered with a 24-8-16 fert, but it is fairly diluted. I just began fertilizing not too long ago. Also, I usually give about 16 ounces of water (water sports bottle). I will take your advice and wait a few days until I water again, taking into consideration the 1 quart/gallon. I have a Ferry Morse Electronic PH monitor, but it hardly works. The light is ~15in away from the plant. What is the recommended schedule for fertilizing do you think the one I am using is suitable? There wasn't much of a selection at Home Depot w/ high Nitrogen levels. Does the plant really need to be transplanted to a bigger pot or is 5lit enough?

re potting is easy find a bigger pot, fill partially with soil you plat is already moist. simply press down the soil a bit around the stem. turn the old pot and plant over and it sould come out in one peaice. if not biog deal just get it into the other pot. water but not to much. bingo

i would cut the nutes untell you find out what your problem is, but im shure that if your seeing roots that are compact threw the drain hole's thats your problem.
