First grow. Did i shock the taproot?

Hey growers, new here and this is my first grow. I germinated 1 bagseed of some type of hybrid bud i had. Anyway i planted my germinated seed into soil last. I was paranoid today that i had done something wrong when planting, so i gently dug up the soil with a toothpick to check. The seeds taproot had grown down but i couldnt tell how far, so i gently gently tried move the seed and i could see the tap root going way down. Would gently moving the seed (not really bothering it) shock the tap root? I recovered the seed with soil and am not messing with it again. How much longer should it be until
The stem starts growing out of
The seed and up through the soil? Just impatient / paranoid because this is my first grow. Any tips appreciated.

I think mine sprouted up about two to four days after puting them in the soil try not to dig them up anymore lol they are fragil and light bothers them just remember to keep the soil wet not soaked just moist do not let it dry out sounds like it will be up tomm or so good luck with your new babies when they get hear

Thanks for the quick reply! Do u know if moving the seed slightly would have shocked the taproot though?

hey Ganjuh this is my first grow aswell

i germinated mine in wet paper towel in a heated propagator with plate over it took around 2 days to open and let the root out
planted it in coco and put it back heated propagator and left it next day it popped up
i wanted to keep checking mine but to be honest best thing you can do is just leave them to grow check every 12-24 hours

good luck and keep us posted :)

Thanks for the advice! I also used the paper towel method and put it next to the heater in my room. Im confident my seedling will pop up tomorrow.

it's been three days and nothing so far i can see the seed but it doesnt look like it has grown...should i cover the big hole with a little dirt

I just looked at my calender my chemdawg im growing took four days to sprout after it had hatched. You do have the seed covered with dirt right? Not just sitting in the hole the seed needs to be in complete darkness to grow and if you dont have any peat pulled over the top of it it will probably dry out... i dont know what you mean by cover the big hole though?
