(They’ve been drying for about 5 days now and didn’t fully trim just took off big stuff)

I want to take this to say thank you to everyone that has helped me in this forum. I’ve learned a lot and gotten a lot of help from a lot of you guys here’s pics of my first harvest (Afghan Kush Ryder Auto) still need to do some more trimming but I think it came out pretty well

ONE QUESTION: when is the best time to start curing in jars

Yea bro got that when do I know they’re done drying
That's a nicely trimmed plant. I think you did good, especially for a first grow. To tell if they're dry enough, I believe you bend a stem. If it simply bends, it's not ready. But, if it snaps a little, it should be ready. You don't want it to break off cleanly (as if it were bone dry), though. Another way I read about is to simply roll and smoke a joint with your bud (even though it's not cured). If it is able to burn well without going out too soon, that's a good sign it's done.

Smoke test like kovidkough said. But you’ll just know. It will have a certain smell and feel to it.
Okay bro, the bud itself feels very dry but the stem is still bending no snap should I still wait ? Or could it be time because when I feel the actual nug I feel like it’s ready

Do you have a hydrometer?

Cut off a reasonably large bud. Throw it in a small jar with the hydrometer. See if its over 65%.

Or....... smoke a :joint:
